My friend likes to give up something every year. Last year it was Facebook and social media and this year it is sweet tea.
I'm not sure what I would give up!

In high school I gave up chocolate for an entire year. It was hard, but doable. I did replace it with gummy bears and oatmeal pies though.
ETA: I saved chocolate from special occassions (cadbury eggs at Easter, etc) and used it bribe my sister when I wanted her to do something for me.

I gave chocolate for a few years but I started eating it again with a vengeance when I was pregnant!

Considering I'll be pregnant and breastfeeding all year, I guess I'll be giving up alcohol this year

Nope, never willingly! I don't have the willpower, I am weak... although I at m to the nurse first prenatal appt today, I was so sad to talk about giving up coffee (until 12 weeks), sushi and medium rare steak!!
Back in 2011, DH have up alcohol for an entire year! There was no particular reason, he just wanted to see if he could do it... I was impressed!

I have! I gave up meat for 3.5 years! Then I got pregnant and I was starrrrrrving!!!
But no, I've never given anything up for a whole year.
