As a child or as an adult? It's such a contagious disease, I wonder how more parents don't get it!

I had it once as an adult a few years ago!

I got it in HS. We went to the docs for some other bug and I woke up the next day with my eyes caked shut! Ugh. That was gross.

I had it as a kid. Thank God I haven't had it in a looooong time.

I had it quite a few times as a kid. It wasn't bad until I started wearing contacts; then it was a lot more of a pain!

It went around my elementary school a few times, but I never got it!

I had it when I was a kid a couple times, and I think as an adult maybe once or twice

I started working in a daycare in high school. I had a steady rotation of pink eye, ear infection, strep throat, & stomach bug for about 5-6 months. Since then I get sick maybe once every 3 years. I think my immune system just bulked up!
Pink eye stinks because is so hard not to touch your eyes! It's nearly impossible for LOs. At school (daycare or preschool) we teachers would just sanitize the crap out of everything & get extra vigilant with kids' hand washing if there was an outbreak.

Thankfully, no, never. My little sister had it a bunch of times growing up, and somehow I never caught it (I was one of 5 kids-- I'm sure my mom wasn't able to sanitize every single thing she touched!). My college roommate had it too, and I never got it then. I think I'm just really, really lucky though.
