It seems to happen a lot - I always have a new bruise or scratch on me. But my worst one has to be my current one - I woke up yesterday w/ a burn on the knuckles of 3 of my fingers. Not a clue how I did it. lol
Do you have mystery injuries?

A burn?! Oh my goodness!
I have a huge bruise on the side of my arm and I don't recall bumping into anything lately. I must have, though!

Yes! Sometimes I find bruises and scratches but the worst is when I find my toenails broken off! I don't even know how that happens without it hurting.

Oh yes. I normally have over 20 bruises at a time with no recollection of hitting something. I was actually referred to a hematologist because of it.

Yes! I get big cuts a lot from our garden fencing and tomato cages and I never realize it til I'm bleeding everywhere. I never feel them when I cut myself!

Yep - I bump into things a lot, and never remember doing it. But when DH sees me get undressed, he usually notices the new bruises and asks if I have been competing in roller derby again on the DL.

@grizz: I gave myself a box cut yesterday (like a paper cut), and didn't realize it until I noticed a bloody fingerprint on the box!

Always bruises, pretty much daily. And last week I definitely burned myself and spent a good 10 minutes trying to remember how.

Yes, I always have bruises on my legs and never can remember what I ran into.

Yes! My new year's resolution a few years ago was to remember every time I ran into something, cut myself, etc. because I was so sick of having mysterious injuries.

All the time, I have a HUGE bruise right above my knee right now with no idea how I got it & it hurts. I must have hit it just right! I'm a klutz who bruises easily, not a good combo!

Yep, I'm constantly discovering bruises and I can never remember what the heck I bumped into. Sometimes if I think reallllllllly hard I can remember, or SO will remind me. Sometimes I'm just sore in random places and I can't figure out why.

So glad to know I'm not the only one who is always covered in mysterious bruises!!

I have that problem all the time with bruises and scrapes. For the past week or so it's my jaw. It totally hurts on the left side to close it/chew and I have no idea what I did to it for it to be that way. Totally annoying that it hasn't gone away yet.

My mom use to tell me if I woke up with a bruise that I didn't know where it came from... she would call them "ghost bites", in our family the only ghost that follow us are ancestors, so our ancestors are biting us trying to tell us something.
My mom use to say ancestors only bite when they are trying to warn us about something, so it meant we should be extra careful for the next couple of days.

@Raindrop: Wow - that's interesting! I've never heard that take on it. I always attributed it to me being clumsy, but I like your explanation better

I have a giant bruise on my knee, but I'm 90% sure it's from DH kicking me in his sleep.

Most definitely! Growing up whenever I found a new unexplained bruise my mom would joke that she had beaten me during the night. Really strange and completely not true, but for some reason we thought it was funny.

@Raindrop: Ha, your mother's story was much nicer than mine! I think yours is pretty interesting!

@BabyBoecksMom: @MrsScallop: Yeah my mom's story always made me and my brother feel extra special for the next few days after having an unexplained bruise because the ancestors were watching out for us.
