I have about a 80/20 success rate. That 20% really burned. I mean, I thought guys were supposed to be easy!

I asked a grad ta teaching a class I was in if he wanted to go fishing one time and he never responded. Then I saw him with a woman shortly after so I think he was taken!

@chopsuey: yep, only once. It was the ONE AND ONLY time I ever made the first move.
It was a friend and I was doing the whole "let's be more than friends" thing, and he was like, "no, let's leave it as it is". OUCH. Never again. I really always got pursued but he was the 1 and only single guy in my life who didn't pursue me. I honestly thought he was just shy! Nope, turns out, he was NOT interested, hehe. Talk about full of myself...

Before he caught on finally, I tried over and over to get my husband's attention only to be blown off. Turns out he was just super dense and didn't have a clue I was hitting on him.

I leaned in to kiss dh on our first date, and he turned his head at the last second so it was an awkward, terrible kiss somewhere between the side of his mouth and cheek, lol! Luckily he called me a couple days later anyway He's not the first guy I made the move to kiss on the first date, though I'm not sure if I ever explicitly asked a guy out, if I did it was more of a gray area, like I wasn't sure if we were friends or more, so it wasn't really clear that it was a date or just hanging out

@chopsuey: LOL nah, I just have a very dude-friendly personality and wore a lot of short skirts so it seemed like I was 'asking for it'

@CupQuakeWalk: same!!
I did once and that was the very last time. I was hanging out with a group of friends, one of which was interested in me so I made a move and...that was that. Hahaha. I guess he didn't like aggressiveness. He thought I was into him for a long time afterward (I wasn't).

I remember in high school I was getting a ride somewhere with a guy friend and we got to our destination (friends house? Can't remember) and I just leaned over and full on kissed him. Luckily he was open to the idea! Nothing really came of it though which was fine. I didn't even want to date him, I just really wanted that kiss
I guess that made me feel like hot shit for a while and I got the nerve to tell my real crush of the month (lol) that I liked him. He said "Well I wouldn't mind hanging out... but not in like a crush-satisfying way". Heartache.

yeah, i was pretty gutsy in college. it was actually friends that i told that i had feelings for them and they shut me down, but we were kinda jokey about it for a while, so while it was definitely a rejection, i wasn't completely heartbroken about it.
i thought the question was, have you ever made a move on someone. full stop. and that answer is HELL YES! ha
