I have twice now and it's so disheartening!

The first time was my 6 week postpartum checkup. I had to bring DS, and the waiting room was packed with zero empty chairs. DS woke up and starts fussing to nurse. I asked the receptionist if they had an extra chair or somewhere I could go, and she told me to go nurse in the bathroom or in my car (don't even get me started), while another receptionist said she'd try to find me a chair. DS was still fussing and a noticed an older woman just staring me down. Total judge face. I caught her gaze a couple of times, but she just kept staring until a nurse found me a place to nurse in the hall with a chair.

The second time was last night at dinner. DS is gassy and it works best if he's burped in the football hold. A younger 20-something girl pointed DH burping DS out to her friends and all three of them stared at us until DH finished burping him. It's the way our pedi showed us to burp him! They stared at us wide-eyed like we were abusing him. If you've seen my baby on IG, you know he's a super happy baby!

I had no idea people would be so overt about this.
