"There Eyes Were Watching God." The dialogue was hard to understand and I had to re-read character conversations before moving on.

I've only read Their Eyes Were Watching God. Overall, pretty good but I'll agree with @Mrs. Lemon-Lime that the dialogue is a bit tough since it's written in a Southern dialect.

Only Their Eyes Were Watching God when I was younger. I need to give it another shot though because I think after living in the US for 10 years I might now be able to deal with the dialogue a lot better.
