DH and DD camped out in the backyard for the first time last night! I hope it's a memory she will cherish forever as well as the start of a fun family tradition!

Yes and No....hahaha I wouldn't call it camping, but we went up north for the weekend, and rented a cabin. It had 2 bedrooms, and a full bathroom....so definitely not tent camping...but we have a 1 year old, and we were outside 90% of the time!

We took B when he was 9 months. It was stressful - we went with friends who had a 3 and a 5 year old so they ran around being loud while we tried to do naps, and then he woke up crying every 45 minutes or so until we realized he was cold at about 3am and brought him into our sleeping bag. I would definitely go again but when the boys are a bit bigger.

We did tons of camping this summer and have taken DD since she was about 7 months!
It was definitely stressful the first year, but some of my favourite memories with her are camping.

Yes, we love camping! We have only been tent camping (in our yard and at YMCA property where they filmed LOST) multiple times but I am looking forward to going in my mom's RV next year.

We took both girls for the first time this summer. They absolutely loved it! DH and I both grew up camping every weekend in the summer, so I'm sure we will do it more often, we'd just like to own a trailer first.

Yes! We haven't been with dd2 yet, but dd1 has been camping at least twice a year for her 3 years.
I actually really want to pull out the tent now that the weather is nice and do a backyard camp out. I used to love. Backyard camping as a kid. @Mrs. Sunshine: I'm sure that will be a great memory for them.

Yep! We were given a trailer that needed some interior work last spring so we gave it a Pinterest inspired facelift and we camped with our 2 most of the summer! It is a lot of work, but the kids loved it!

We have tent camped the last two summers. 2015 summer we had 2.5 y/o DD and just over 1 DS, did a weekend, no electricity, real deal, lol,
2016 obv 3.5 y/o DD and just over two DS and me 14-17w preggo! 3 weeks but were on land of family and ran power cord from shed to our tent and like.....we had a fridge, lol.
We love it, except for my DH, lol.
2017 summer we are trying to find a trailer to rent (we drive 20 hours to the family land spot) as with the weather we had, adding another kid, it's too long in a tent, and buggy and all those things!

Yes! We have done a lot of car camping and several short canoe trips too. My oldest daughter was about 9 months on her first canoe trip, and she loves it. Depending on where you live, canoe trips can be *so* easy and get you far out of the busy car camping scene.
Even at Algonquin park here, there are many launch areas that have canoes on site for rent, so you don't have to rent or own one and lug it up there. And our rule of thumb is that if you can fit it in the car, it can fit in the canoe
