I always loved sitting with my grandmother and looking at pics of her and my grandpa - hearing about how they met and their wedding.
So...I decided to start writing out me and DH's love story - starting with the day we met.... not sure if I will end it or keep it open and add to it over the years
I have pictures too - of where we met, our 1st and 2nd dates, first homes, etc.

Ha. I'm definitely that romantic but I agree with @Mamasig...sounds like work! I barely write down milestones.

@Mamasig: Ha Ha! I'm not even remotely that romantic. And it does sound like a lot of work. I'll stick to the "we're high-school sweethearts" description and leave it at that.

That sounds great. I should really do that for our LO and descendents. It's an awesome story. People are always asking us to tell it and they say it should be made into a screenplay. 
I'm not sure why it never occurred to me to write it down!

I haven't written it or made an official scrapbook of our love story, but I feel like our pictures already tell the story! Or first trip together when we'd only known each other less than 2 months, first holidays together, first weekend trips together, first apartment together, engagement, wedding, babies, etc.

Um...we already tell a "PG" version of our story so I don't think we need to write it down. Romantic it is not...drunkenly meeting and eventually dancing at wedding reception, followed by me peeing on my dress at the afterhours party trying to pop a squat...not my greatest moment.

That is so sweet!
Someone was writing a relationship book at our church and featured a different couple in each chapter. The author interviewed us and wrote our love story for the courtship chapter. The book was never published but it was a great memento and experience. This would be a good side business for someone!

I have a book that contains our first emails and text messages, my husband collected them, printed them and had them bound. That in addition to our yearly photo books is enough for me.

I did. It was for a local magazine that wanted to spotlight our engagement and wedding photos. It was nice to sit down and write it all down. Plus I have it saved and am putting a copy in my little girl's baby book for her to have one day. My best friend also made a huge photo/scrap book with details of how we met, dated, and up until we got pregnant for her to have. It's priceless! She said she wanted her to know about her parents before they were parents.

@LuLu Mom: hahaha! DH and I's love story is also not so sweet. We met when I was in highschool at a party, drunk. I was actually dating his friend. Friend and I broke up, DH and I started dating. We dated for a few months, I got pregnant. 9 years later though we're still going strong!

Aww, this sounds very cute! I wish I had saved my and DH's first messages to each other. We did both write to each other the morning of our wedding though, and I love going back and reading that.

What a great idea. DH and I are aiming for weekly dates right now to repair some of the hits our marriage has taken lately. I wonder if this would be fun to do together? If not I think I'll do it myself. Getting to write and reflect on happy memories is a win win.

I started to write it out for our wedding website and then it started to get way too long to include. I still have what I started writing though. I also have a folder in my email with our old emails and myspace messages (lol, myspace)

I have pictures from when we first met and going forward, but haven't really formally written anything down. I did write a short lil blurb on WeddingBee when we were wedding planning, but that's it.

So cool! I love the idea of having it all in one place for future generations to look at.
I wrote down our how-we-met/got together story once for a post on weddingbee and saved it on my email. We have "Our Love Story" with important dates on a chalkboard in our living room, that was from our wedding. I also did an interview-type thing for a local (small) newspaper that tells our story and have that saved.

Sort of! We met on holiday in China and spent three and a half weeks travelling around the country together on our small group tour. I kept a very detailed travel journal on that trip (my entire 14 hr flight home was spent completing the journal) so in a way, it is the story of how we met and fell in love.
And then I have all the immigration paperwork from our various immigration applications, all of which describe the minutiae of our relationship, complete with pictures, plane tickets, and various other memorabilia from our dating/engaged days... So I suppose that sort of counts too!
