I have a skin tag on my neck that I'm beginning to hate. My purse strap often rubs it, and lately DD has been pointing to it asking "that?" And I'm just kind of self conscious about it. There's no way I could remove it myself, but I'm thinking about having a doctor do it. Has anyone had one removed? What was the process like? Any pain? Did it come back?

I have had one just cut off (which scissors by a DR) and another was frozen off. It didn't really hurt and as far as I can remember, it didn't come back.

I had one removed with scissors that was on my knee. It bled a little but was no big deal. I would get them occasionally as a teen and my mom would just snip them, but they were tiny ones.

I've had several removed by the dermatologist. Just snipped it off and no pain!

I had a medium sized one on my side in college and my now DH just snipped it off with a clean pair of cuticle scissors. I had to psych myself up for it so I numbed it with an ice cube first but aside from a little blood, no real pain. It never came back! I now know there are few to no nerve endings in them so there shouldn't be pain. I'm a DIY kind of girl

I had two small ones on my neck. Went to see my dermatologist and she zapped them right off! kind of burned, but no big deal. The only thing was, I was surprised by how much it cost when I got a few weeks later...so don't be dumb like me and find out the cost first.

If you're nervous about snipping it, you can just tie some thread or dental floss around it tighly for a day or so. It'll just fall of on its own.
