Have you had more than one C-section? What is the age difference of your kids? How was the 2nd c-section different?
My Mom had two and she said she primped before having me since it was a scheduled surgery and she wanted to look nice for pics!

By the time June 7th rolls around, I will have had two. I feel more prepared this time, I know what to expect. And yes, I will be primped. I'm having my hair, nails and toes done, and an eyebrow wax, LOL.
I will be 15 months and 20 days from my previous C-section.
I'll let you know how the second one goes. It is my mom's mandate (from me to her) that I get up and walk this time. No matter how much I whine, she's going to make me walk. Hopefully recovery will go smoother without 30 hours of labour beforehand and walking the halls.

@belleoftheballe: I will definitely primp, maybe even get lash extensions...hahahah.
Can't wait to hear how everything goes! Good luck!

I've had 2 c sections, 16 months apart. The second one was scheduled so I was prepared for it and much more relaxed because I knew what was coming. Recovery wise, I needed less pain medication with the second one, but it seemed to take a little longer to recover the second time around. With the second one, the pain was less intense but lingered much longer.

My sister had two and she was all primped for the second one! She wanted to make sure she looked good for pictures afterwards.

I had two. They were two years apart. I had very different experiences. My first was twins and I was delivered because of high blood pressure. I ended up just going in after a dr appt do I didn't have time to get much ready. During the surgery my blood pressure took a big dive and all the mess they had to give me made me a bit out of it. I had to be put in recovery for four hours before I saw my boys. I didn't really mind since I was pretty much asleep. My second was a scheduled one and went smoothly. No blood pressure drops do no extra meds. I was reunited after about 20 minutes. They just stitched me up and took me to my room
Recovery was about the same. My mom said I healed really fast but it seemed normal to me. When you have older children to care for I think it makes you have to stay active and helps recovery. I did pop my incision the first time around because my niece jumped on my belly. I just constantly reminded them to be gentle with me and that mommy had a big booboo

I have only had one but for my second one I think I'm going to splurge and buy a cute hospital gown off of etsy.

@Oceanis723: I'm terrified that my LO is going to pop my incision by jumping on me. That's what has me nervous. He's a handful and doesn't understand what's going on. He's only 15 months. I will just have to have a pillow on my lap at all times I guess.

@MrsHotDog: I hope your hospital will let you wear it! Mine won't, I asked.
What Etsy shop are you going to buy from?

@belleoftheballe. Even though it popped my incision I had no major damage. My doctor checked the area. It had a little bit of seepage (sorry I know that's gross) but noting major. It was healed enough to not be an issue. The second c section I didn't even have stitches they just glued it shut.

@Oceanis723. that is really good that there was no major damage. And no worries about gross. We're moms, we have all seen and heard gross. LOL

@belleoftheballe: I never thought to ask my hospital! I'm not pregnant yet (or trying) since my doc wants us to wait a year but that is something I will ask. I wonder why they wouldn't let me wear it after surgery...I want to look cute as possible for pictures and guest.
I haven't looked for any yet but I bought a sling from ModMom and I loved her fabric so I would probably start my search there.

We're unsure on a #2 baby, but I just learned to primp!LOL My 1st, with the csection and 15hrs of labor beforehand, I looked a MESS. If we get #2, I would like to not look like a crazy woman on the 1st family picture.LOL

@MsMamaBear: oh me too! I had 2 days of IV fluids pumped into me so I looked super puffy! And greasy and sweaty with matted hair!
