M hasn't had her nails painted yet. I'm curious to see what made you want to paint your kid's nails. Did they ask to have them painted? Did you paint them because (s)he was sitting there while you were doing it?
Which nails did you paint, if you did paint their nails? Toes or fingers?

We've done nails and toes.
She started asking a while ago. We started off with piggie paint, did some jamberry wraps and I recently purchased a set of Ella+mila.
I've also used my nailpolish on her. Can't remember the brand right now

DH paints her toes regularly. She sits in her chair and props her feet on a stool. She just sits there while he does it. Then she usually watches a show while they dry.

LO asks me to paint her nails, so I do. Usually she asks me when/if she sees me painting mine, sometimes she asks me out of the blue. I've done both her toes and fingers - I put on a show and tell her she has to sit still for the entire thing for them to dry, and she does! Strong will when it comes to having what she wants - "pretty nails!"

I just painted LO's nails for the first time last week. She's 28 months. She has been asking since becoming obsessed with my friend's bright pink nails, so I took her to pick out a color and painted hers. Just fingers!

LO asked. I don't regularly paint my nails but she's seen friends and family members with painted nails. I do her toes with regular polish and her hands with a non toxic organic kiddie polish.

I painted her toenails pink this fall when she had lice. I figured that if the poor girl had to sit through several sessions with the lice comb, she might as well get a spa day out of it (coconut lice mask, a bath, and pink nails). I used Zoya nail polish that I already had. It is pretty safe.

OH my mom painted my toddler's toenails when Lo was like, 20 months old. I have no clue why--out of boredom maybe? For a while after, LO asked all the time to have her toenails painted, but eventually she forgot. I don't care, but I sure don't have time for that stuff. I don't even have time to do my own!

She asked fairly often so I made it a reward for potty training. She was 2.5. She has them painted again right now because my sister was visiting and painted her nails in sight.

Yeah, he always asks when he sees me painting mine, or when we pass by nail polish at the store. I hate the idea of toxic stuff on kid nails, so far he's been happy with just one or two thumbs.

Yep, I've been painting her fingernails and toenails since she was two we started off with piggie paint but it comes off too quickly so now I just use regular Essie polish.

DS (3) rocked black finger nails for a week or so this fall and is currently sporting blue toenails. Both times he asked. DD (1) hasn't been painted yet but I am SO tempted.

E is obsessed with having "purple feet" so if I am painting my toes, I will paint hers, too, if she asks .

Yup. I rarely paint my nails but I did one day and she asked to have hers painted too. She is 3 so I did them. She also likes to paint DH's toenails pink. She has some Piggie Paints.

DD had her toes painted at 3 and a half months. I was getting my nails filled and it was almost Christmas. She got her toes professionally painted. I didn't paint her finger nails until she stopped having them in her mouth all the time.
I just recently painted DS's nails for the first time. He really wanted it when he saw me paint his sisters. It's just polish. Lol

Sure, my 3.5 year old and 18 month old both get their fingers and toes painted (toes much more often). I set their little Adirondack chsirs in front of the TV and put on DORA so they have time to dry.
I generally only do nails for a holiday - black and orange for Halloween, red and green for Christmas, etc. It's so cute and they like it.

yeah. we've done her toes twices and nails once. she still sucks her fingers, so the finger polish came off by the end of the day! we used piggy paint for that.

Yep. My two year old loves getting her nails and toes painted. We use piggy paint. It comes off quickly, but she doesn't care.
