Technically I think CVS allows it but I just feel so weird doing it! But not returning has been a reason I don't really buy drugstore make-up. Sometimes even if I don't like it I just end up keeping it...

I've never returned drug store makeup before, but I've returned opened Sephora makeup before, typically if it makes me break out badly. That's only happened once or twice. I think at a drugstore I would just eat the cost because it isn't much (usually) unless the makeup was full of mold or was damaged in some way. I think a lot of drugstore makeup is so affordable that I would feel kind of demanding if I complained and returned it? So I understand your hesitation.

All the time at places like Sephora and Ulta if I'm buying high end makeup. It's usually not worth the hassle for me for drugstore stuff (like a $2 lip gloss) but if I'm paying a lot of money and not happy I'll definitely return!

@kick641: I know right or I just feel bad since they pretty much can't re-sell it or anything... I wonder what happens to this stuff?
@Littlebit: I actually usually don't feel the need to return w/ Sephora since I usually test it out beforehand so I know the shade is right/I like it. It's drugstore stuff where I can never out what shade I'd be!

I have to Sephora, they have a great policy on returns. I do feel weird about it but when I'm paying $$$ for makeup or skincare I want to be satisfied!

I haven't and wouldn't. Just feel weird about it. I only would if it was defective in some way.

I have only returned Sephora stuff. One time it made me have a horrible breakout

A couple of times when my dad insisted on it because something was the wrong shade or I just didn't like it - he's a Walgreens manager and doesn't get why I feel weird returning opened makeup.

@wonderstruck: That's nice that he works there and doesn't think it's weird! Maybe if I just need to get another shade it wouldn't be so weird... It's interesting how so many of us just feel "weird" about it lol!

Definitely have returned a few things to Sephora, they are great about it. And I actually did return a face cream to Target once because it gave me a rash! It was a bit pricier so I didn't want to eat the cost... although I am a very big believer in returns in general so I might do it even for something fairly cheap

@littleowl88: I know, I feel so weird about it, but at the same time I'm like, well if they offer it, why not?

@snowjewelz: And honestly if a place has a really good return policy, I am more likely to continue shopping there in the future, so they probably end up getting more money out of me this way!

The first time was about a month ago to sephora. I did Have huge anxiety about it but a friend who worked there told me people do it all the time. I had tried a BB cream and it totally didn't work for me color or texture wise so I decided to return it and not waste my money.

Yes, especially at CVS!! I bought a bazillion lipsticks, glosses, etc. for my wedding and returned what I didn't like. CVS just sends them back to the manufacturer! They don't even question it!

Not make up but I bought a few frizz products for my hair at Ulta and none of them worked so I returned them all!
