My Mom forgot to bring my baby book to the baby shower this past weekend but she promised to bring it next time she visits so we can compare notes.
Have you seen your baby book? Were you surprised at anything?

I used to read mine all the time when i was younger..I actually feel horrible about this, because I lost my baby hospital bracelet my mom was so upset over that. she still has my baby book (i think..pretty sure I don't have it here!) and it's so fun to read over.

I haven't seen it in a LONG time. I hadn't even thought about it, now that I'm pregnant it would be really fun to look through again I'll have to ask my mom to see it this weekend.

Aww. I don't have a baby book for me. I did get to see a little booklet that the clinic gave my mom when she went in for prenatal and postnatal care.

Yep! It's really fun to see when Mommy and Daddy had the milestones. I think MIL may have fudged Daddy's book. I can't believe he was really walking that early. Ha!
We also keep a baby pictures of Mommy and Daddy on our fridge next to LO so we can compare features.

I think I have mine! My parents didn't fill much out after maybe the first two weeks after I was born, but I loved to read it over and over when I was growing up. I also drew all over it when I was little.

I used to read mine all the time when I was younger! I haven't in a few years... but I did see hubs' baby book this past Christmas. I can't believe the in-laws gave him rice cereal when he was only like, 2 months old!

I used to look through mine and my brothers' all the time when I was younger. My mom brought them out again after we announced we were expecting. I was surprised at how long she kept up with them. She recorded everything up until our preteen years I think.

My mom brought me mine when I was pregnant with LO becauase I always thought she barely filled it out because I'm the 3rd child. I assumed this because she never remembers anythign about me, she doesn't even know what time I was born! But of course she knows my siblings times. But she actually did a really good job at filling it out.

I don't have a baby book but my mother kept her day planner from 1980-1981 and I read the little notes she scribbled in it. It was very cute...She still has it...I might ask for it.

Mine is in my bedroom at my parents' house. I pulled it out to show hubs when we were visiting them for Christmas. Some of the things my mom wrote were so funny..."Favorite TV show: Three's Company"

I have a photo album. Is that a baby book? I don't know where it is anymore. There was a fire at my parent's house and I'm not sure if it got damaged.

Yes! It's still at my parents' house. I love looking through it, so I made sure that DD has a nice baby book too!

Yep, my mom gave me my baby book and her pregnancy journal from when she was pregnant with me.
Her pregnancy journal was super interesting because her pregnancy was SO much different than mine! I was really happy to read it though.. I am glad she kept it around to give to me.
The baby book surprised me because I learned that I started walking at 11 months (running around by my 1st birthday) and was talking in full sentences by 15 months! My mom always wrote about how chatty, outgoing, and pretty much HYPER I was...I thought it was super funny and interesting! Makes me want to keep a very detailed baby book for my daughter.

Yes, but because I was the second baby it was kind of neglected! Haha I always promised my mom that my second baby would have just as many pictures and notes as my first. She just laughed at me saying good luck

My mom gave me mine a few years ago. I love looking through it. She was really thorough, and included everything - gifts she got at my shower then gifts I got as a newborn and for my 1st birthday, photos from birthdays and halloweens and tap recitals. There's stuff in there up through high school. i can't wait to be able to compare our future LOs to my book!

My mom won't let me have it but we've had it out quite a bit to compare my daughter's milestones to mine It's very fun.

My mum found mine last year. It is a Plunket one that was given to all new mothers in NZ back then. The nurses would make notes in it too each time they made home visits (I don't know if this happens in the USA...but it is part of the public funded health system here). There is no photos but it talks a lot about me being a fussy eater! Poor mum

Both of our moms gave us ours after we got married, a not so subtle hint now that I think of it. We look things up in them all the time to compare with our son.
