@agold: There's definitely lots of songs but I thought they were more grown-up than in the first movie. They even had a hilarious 80s music video type segment that none of the kids understood but the adults thought it was hilarious. I didn't think the scary parts were as scary as the wolves and the giant snow monster thing; to me the content was just heavier and more grown-up like. There are still some campy parts, but the story orients on a forest that's been "frozen in time" after a conflict between Arendelle and a native tribe living in a forest nearby and ultimately Elsa and Anna's parents, their origin story and why they died. Most of it I think will go over the kids' heads, and it'll still be fun because of the familiarity but I do think this one is better for an older kid than the smaller ones. I should add, though, if your kid is attached to Olaf, be prepared for a lot of emotion toward the tail end. I think that's the part that threw my kid off the most, more so than any of the scary parts.
