My mom made brussels sprouts for our veggie at Thanksgiving. *shudder* It was my first time trying them. Yuck. I ate the cranberries and blue cheese she put on them to mask the flavor...I mean to gussy them up.

So lame, but I tried pomegranate seeds for the first time during Thanksgiving. I have drank pomegranate flavored stuff before, but never the real fruit. Loved it!
ETA the seeds were used to garnish brussels sprouts

I love brussels sprouts!!
I tried lomo saltado (Peruvian stir fry) the other day. It tasted pretty much how I thought it would, just never got around to trying Peruvian before that.

aww I love brussels sprouts!! they're nasty when they're boiled, but sauteed or roasted is nommy!
I don't think I've tried anything new since I've been pregnant, it's too risky with all my new aversions, haha. But before that, I was starting to try different kinds of fish--I've been a vegetarian since I was 4, mostly because I don't like the texture of meat, but I'm open now to adding fish/becoming pescetarian since it'd be good for me to have more lean protein options. The problem is I'm really picky about it! I like some white fish, like cod or halibut, but not really very reliably enough to order it on my own if we're eating out, I prefer to eat off dh's plate, haha

@mediagirl: I LOVE Brussels sprouts. I roast them and eat it at least once a week while they are in season. But then again, I love bitter melon too.
I've recently tried boudin (while in New Orleans) and love it!

@mediagirl: Brussels Sprouts here too! But the way I made them, they weren't actually that bad. I made them for DH but he kept exclaiming over how good they were, so I tried them.

My husband found some pawpaws in the woods during deer archery season. They were delicious. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2011/09/29/140894570/the-pawpaw-foraging-for-americas-forgotten-fruit

I tried cashew milk last week! I was expecting it to be thick like cashews, but it was really light and neutral tasting-I liked it!
My husband and I both hate dairy milk, so we always try whatever new non-dairy milk that comes out, ha!

Yum! I love Brussels sprouts!
I tried an Arby's roast beef sandwich (I had never eaten there before) and was grossed out for the rest of the day. The fries were yummy
