We have. They are ready to go. With selling and buying a house in the same year, it took some time...and that was with our tax guy!
I like to get it out of the way even though we can't submit them until the first. We don't have to pay this year but we also won't be getting anything back (I wasn't aware that the child tax credit dropped).

I'm scared to! Plus don't have all our forms! We usually do our own taxes, so curious how scary it is with a house sell and buy in same year? That was also us for 2013...

Yes, ugh. So depressing! I did them on Turbo Tax, and won't be submitting them until April (we owe this year).

@runnerd: We bought and sold in 2013 and it wasn't a problem for me. Just two mortgage interest forms to enter. Though I guess it could be different, depending on your situation!

@Pepper: turbo tax always says we owe a lot! That's why we took them to a retired CPA who doesn't charge much.

Ours are pretty straight forward so I do them myself on turbo tax. I'm entering things as they come in, and will submit ASAP. Looking forward to receiving our return.
I have to do our state return by hand, because we are eligible for a credit that I can't submit online, so that takes some time.

We are planning on doing a medical deduction due to infertility treatment and IVF in 2013, so we're still getting that in order. Everything else is ready to go. My MIL does our taxes for us and she tries to do ours as early as possible so she has time for her other clients!

Nope, I t hink all our papers are in now... DH is going to set up an appt with our tax lady soon. She comes to our house and does them, so convenient, esp in this polar vortex!

Ours have been submitted, just waiting for the IRS to start accepting. D's company puts all of the W2s online (on his password protected account) and gives an option to input the info directly into TurboTax, which is super handy.

Not yet... I'm working on stuff for my small business taxes which are due first. My accountant handles both, so I just provide whatever she requests. Thank goodness, because I have never done my taxes in my life. She is pricey, but completely worth it, haha.

I wasn't aware that the child tax credit dropped either! How hard is our country going to make it on taxpayers to have a family? I feel like if they finally get away with taking away teh interest deductions for homeowners no one will have kids or buy a house anymore. We'll live in a childless country of renters lol!

Nope! I have to wait on my W2 to be mailed. They always take forever. Usually doesn't come in until the end of February.

A little bit. Ours take forever, even though we have an accountant, because I technically own have 2 businesses and so I have a lot of things to keep track of and a lot of deductions. And of course I'm never that great at keeping track throughout the year so it is a lot of going back to find stuff later. I've put in a few hours but I have a good 8 or so left probably.
