Hello!  I hope that you've been able to read along even if you haven't had time to participate in the discussion. I'd love to hear your thoughts, though, if you have the time!

Part 2 of At Night We Walk in Circles takes place entirely in the village we only know of T____. This happens to be Rogelio's hometown, as well as the town that the narrator's parents hail from. After spontaneously changing the itinerary of the trip, the trio arrives and settles in. Henry decides to pay a visit to Rogelio's mom and sister. Tension arises when Henry talks about Rogelio's death in front of his senile mother and his sister who didn't know he was dead. After giving the best performance of the tour, Rogelio's brother Jaime arrives, and offers Nelson a role he can't refuse.

1. There was a bunch of foreshadowing in this section about what Nelson does later. He jokes about being a killer (in the play), the narrator talks about how Mindo (Ixta's boyfriend) didn't deserve what happened to him, etc. What do you think Nelson is capable of?

2. How would you have handled the situation Henry found himself in?  How would you explain your relationship to Rogelio?

3. Would you have accepted Jaime's offer like Nelson did?

I'll post my answers later today, I'm in a bit of a rush this morning.

As a reminder, the rest of the reading schedule is as follows:
