Can you taste the difference between Heinz and Hunt's ketchup? I can!!! And will only eat Heinz. If I'm eating french fries and the only ketchup the restaurant has is Hunt's, I'll either eat my fries plain or ask for ranch.

I have strong feelings about ketchup! I prefer Heinz, but I actually don't mind Hunt's. But I don't like anything else. I hate when I only get to Trader Joe's and we need ketchup, because theirs is just not as good as Heinz.
However, I'll still dip my fries in ketchup even if it isn't my preferred brand. I mean, I need SOMETHING.

I can def taste the difference! Actually, I studied in Spain for a semester and would hoard McDonald's ketchup packets b/c the ketchup from anywhere else was so crappy. When the lady I lived with served things with ketchup, I would break out the packets (which is admittedly a little weird/probably not great etiquette, but I offered her some as well!).
@Alivoo01: You're in TX, right? What about Whataburger ketchup? That's the only non-Heinz kind that I like.

@tororojo: I was about to say Whataburger has the BEST ketchup. There must be crack in it or something because it's truly the best ketchup of any ketchup, haha!

when i worked in a bar, one of my jobs was filling the heinz bottles with hunts ketchup.

Heinz for sure, I can always tell the difference!
@kjwinter: I worked at a place that did this...sooo deceiving! ha

I can definitely taste a difference! I prefer Heinz, but I'll eat Hunts. My husband will not touch anything except Heinz lol.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: It's also the packaging, I think--so convenient to be able to dip into it!

Heinz! I actually really don't like Hunts. I'd buy store brand before it.

@Foodnerd81: i looooove trader joe's ketchup!
regular heinz has high fructose corn syrup in it, so we get trader joe's. hunt's also doesn't have any, but we like trader joe's the best.

My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I refuse to eat any ketchup other than Heinz. Hunts is way too sweet. I'm normally a huge cheap-o and only buy store brand products, but Walmart ketchup will not do.

I can tell a difference and prefer Heinz, but Hunts works if I *must*
I actually found and bought some Huntz Balsamic Ketchup the other day. It's pretty good, very mild.

@tororojo: I am in Texas, but am a Texas transplant. I think I've had Whataburger twice in the past 7 years (ha!) so I don't recall if I liked their ketchup or not. Now I need to go to Whataburger and answer your question!

@Alivoo01: You really should try it again! One of the best fast food burgers and their fries are delicious. Their ketchup is tangy like Heinz instead of sweet like a lot of other brands, so most people really like it!

@tororojo: Totally went to Whataburger for lunch on Saturday just to try out their ketchup. haha! Fries - omg!! I totally could have ordered another because I could not stop eating them!! As for the ketchup, it was eh to me. I feel like a total ketchup snob. =\

There is a difference! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I'll eat Hunts if it's all a restaurant has to offer, but I am definitely a Heinz girl.

It basically tastes the same to me. I'm not a big ketchup fan in general, so I'm indifferent about it. I'm definitely more of a ranch person.

To be totally honest.... I don't think I don't know if I knew there were so many brands of ketchup...
I think they all taste the same! LOL
