I spent a lot of time on another site that had a different set-up, so to make sure I am on the right track:

Is it annoying to respond to someone in a thread basically to say, "yup, I agree," and thus possible generate a notification for someone? Should I save the 'respond' for more specific, unique comments?

And I am sure that this rule is posted somewhere, but can I put links that are non-self promoting? Like a link to Kellymom in response to a breastfeeding question?
