I have a baby celebration to go to on Thursday - no idea what to buy.
Newborn baby boy
+
older brother is 18 months old
I don't see these people often, and don't spend a ton.
I thought about a wubbanub for the newborn, but is that enough?
Help!

I love to buy books. They can often be an inexpensive gift and you can buy two or three.

Is it like a sip and see/meet and greet the new baby type of thing? I bet gifts aren't even totally expected. If you wanted to bring something a wubbanub for the baby and maybe a book for big brother? I think that's plenty fine.

@Mrs. Sunshine: it's a bris for the baby (Jewish circumcision ceremony...if you don't know). I feel bad not taking anything so I think I'll do that - grab a wubbanub and a book for brother
Thanks ladies!

@babycanuck: for a bris the customary gift is money. I don't think you need to get anything for the older child though.

@Meowkers: I normally would give money but we really only see these people once a year, if that...not close with them at all. If we had more of a relationship I wouldn't quip about giving cash.
