I have a black tie event to go to in a few weeks and I need a dress for it but I am striking out at my usual places. I looked at my Nordstrom and Macys and then checked J. Crew, Last Call, White House Black Market all online.
Where else should I look? Anyone want to just find me a dress? Under $200 and something that works with a large chest/hourglass figure (basically the Gatsby straight dresses and drop waists are not a good look!)

@jetsa: @chopsuey: I have and they have some contenders, I have four weddings coming up though so I figure I may come out ahead by buying since I could wear the same dress to 3/4 weddings plus this event.

If you had a lot of time, I would suggest ideeli. They are like Zulily in that they ship later, but each item has an expected ship date linked. They also have free and very easy returns. And generally, their stuff is higher quality. I have a Tadashi Shoji dress to fit my bewbs that I love from that site. You have to keep an eye on the sales, though, because they change day to day and the evening dresses featured do occasionally trend to "20-something stick figure".

Ok so BCBG dresses are my go to. They fit good and usually have some flair without being too over the top...here are some ones I like that I think would fit your figure (could be totally wrong because I'm fairly small up top!)...

Try Newman Marcus for sales on long gowns but I like shopstyle.com to virtually filter and shop a bunch of stores at once
