A mom in my mommy and me group just found out that her 10 mo has leukemia. She and her husband will be staying with him in the hospital for a couple weeks and I'm putting together a care package. Ideas?? I was thinking of things to keep them occupied, snacks of course. HELP!

@Dagny: if it's not too late: a zip up hoodie vest or jacket with pockets for LO. It is easy on and off, easy to open for exams and was super helpful to store tubing and various medical connecting type stuff in her hood and pockets when she was unhooked from machines but still had leads. She was walking but if he is crawling they will have the same tubing problem (if he has those kinds of leads).

I am also late to this but one of my go to's is to get a white shower curtain liner (a plastic one), a large pack of colorful sharpies and a few 3m strips for hanging. I like to hang it on the wall in the hospital room and right a message on it. Then as people come to visit they can add their own pictures and messages. It brightens up the dreary, institutional room. Best wishes to them!
