I am so awful at choosing paint colors. I need hive help! Is anyone good at picking paint colors?

We just bought this dining room set. Our dining room is open to the living room area I'm thinking of one accent wall with a darker color and then a lighter shade of that for the rest of the area. It needs to be fairly light in general since this area of the house isn't abundantly sunny. I want to incorporate some color into the space, not just a beige or off-white color.

Is anyone good at picking paint colors??
