I'm going to a formal event next month, and I'm wearing this dress. I would like to get a necklace to go with it, but I am clueless when it comes to jewelry, although, I don't wear yellow gold tones. My handbag is small, vintage and made of silver/white beads. I want to spend less than 50.

I don't know about the quality but my very fashionable friend has had good luck with this store.
She also recommends Francesca's for costume jewelry.
I personally love J.Crew and J.Crew Factory jewelry but it seems that everything is yellow gold tone.

@rachiecakes: Nice! Quality isn't a huge deal since I will probably only wear the necklace with the dress. (I don't normally wear any jewelry).

I'm having a hard time pasting links but if you go on Baublebar and search by statement necklaces and silver, they have some really nice choices. I like the deco pool, classic cut and the rainbow one.

Francesca's has great stuff. Love it. Some of baublebar is a little funkier for my taste, but it's cute.
