I like the bag in the 2nd picture! Looks more stable and won't topple over if you don't fill it up.

I was so PPB-crazed that I found a very discounted Cake cosmopolitan carryall (almost exactly the one in your pic) but ended up returning it. I ordered it from a baby boutique elsewhere in the country without ever having seen it in person, but when it arrived I just knew it wasn't my style. The non-black area is a burlap material, and VERY dark beige. Almost pretty much a medium brown. It just looked so dingy and dark. It appears ivory on the computer screen..! I was so very very very sad because I loved the cake bags. But alas, they all use that background.

I found my Longchamp Le Pliage large tote to be the perfect toddler diaper bag! Once LMW becomes a toddler I'm going to sell all of my diaper bags and get a second Le Pliage in a different color! (I have chocolate brown and it's REALLY beat up.)

@Weagle: yes I second regberadaisy in wanting a review of the top shop bag!
I am also looking for a toddler bag!@mrs. wagon: I know you had given me some suggestions before but I am looking for something ultra lightweight but with structured bottom (to carry sippy cup without spill). I just received a le pliage bag as a gift recently but I just wish it had a longer handle for easier shoulder carry?

@regberadaisy: @T-Mom: It was just delivered! I like the size. A little big for a purse, but great size for my essentials and a diaper, snack, and sippy. The fabric is a little more Berber carpet than I was expecting. I was expecting canvas, but it's thick and I kind of like it. It's easily a spring, summer, and fall bag. The "leather" trim isn't great, but that's to be expected in this price point. Better than Target, but not high quality. I'm going to keep it! I think it will be great for my needs.

And on the Le Pliage topic, maybe you were given the bag with the shorter handle? They have different handle lengths, and the longer is definitely long enough for a shoulder carry.

@mrs. wagon: I don't know if your current bag has it, but my Le Pliage bags with the coated interior have held up MUCH better than the original!

@mrs. wagon: A couple of years ago they started making them with a PVC coated interior. It's very handy with an LO. Easy to wipe down, and the corners don't wear out as quickly.

@regberadaisy: @T-Mom: I also wanted to add, the handles aren't really long enough to wear it comfortably on your shoulder. One downside.

@T-Mom: My Le Pliage also has long handles? Also looking forward to using that bag more when I can lighten my load!

@zippylef: I was also going to suggest Timi & Leslie bags! They all look pretty chic and not apparent that they're "diaper bags". I'll wear mine even after diaper bags aren't needed. My particular style is actually kind of small for my current needs (infant). I only use it for short outings and anticipate it will be better at toddler stage. Here's mine:

FWIW - I've seen PPB Cake Bags at Nordstrom Rack on/off. You might want to keep an eye out for them if you have one near you!
