I'm considering buying this dress for Vi's dedication next month, but I'm looking for the perfect accessories to seal the deal before I buy it. I'm not a big fan of really big and flashy accessories, but I'd love to find a sweet and delicate hair accessory to go with the dress.

I really like the dress. A soft fabric hair on would look lovely. I am also envisioning a long necklace anchored by a single natural cut gem/ rock.

@Arden: No advice, but this is a potentially silly question-- what is a dedication? I was raised Catholic, so I presume something like a baptism (ish?), but we just got the invite to one for my friend's daughter, which took me by surprise because she was also raised Catholic and married in the church.

@Mrs. J: I can't speak for all dedications since I think different churches have different versions. For us, it's something we are doing outside of a church, just a family ceremony on the beach.
We're basically praying over our baby and dedicating her to God, telling God that we will raise our child knowing Him.
I don't personally believe in baptizing infants because I think baptism is the decision to become a part of the church and follow God, and because an infant can't make that decision for themselves, baptism is better left until they can actually make that decision.
So this is sort of just a ceremony to say "I will raise my child knowing You, and if she chooses to follow you when she is older, she can be baptized."
I hope that makes sense. We're not very traditional, so dedication ceremonies that happen in actual churches might be very different.

@Arden: @Mrs. J: Our church does a very similar dedication. The pastor prays over/for us & our children... that we would have strength/wisdom in raising them as God instructs & that our children would be blessed to walk in the life He has for them. They do them the first Sunday of the month & second service always has LOT of wittle babies! *just wanna squish um up*

Still looking for the perfect accessory. I want something cream/gold, really simple, not flashy. I don't really like feathers or big gem stones, I was thinking something that looks more nature inspired. Lace or ribbon would be cute too.

@runsyellowlites: We have a bunch of them and they are so understated and perfectly sweet for an infant. The one I was looking for was three teeny tiny felt buds that we have and M wore a lot when she was very young. It was so fresh for an infant.

Keep 'em coming! I'm trying to sell one to my husband - he's very picky when it comes to her. He wants it to be JUST RIGHT, perfect. It took a ton on convincing to get him to agree to that dress, he wanted to "keep looking just in case we can find something even better".
I do think I want something all cream/gold, no other colors. And he wants something that is more "lux", like lace or something. *sigh* This is taking way longer than it should. lol
