I don't like to buy gifts that people had specifically asked for, I love to come up with something awesome and have the element of surprise. This year though, I just don't have the energy haha.
My SIL asked for a slow cooker and a slow cooker cook book. What could I add to this gift to make it more exciting???

Maybe some fun spices and marinades? Dish towels and utensils could be cute too. I love Penzeys spices and they have some great looking recipes on their website. Maybe you could do some tried and true recipes on cute recipe cards and give her a box for them and some blank cards so she can add her favorites?

Hmm that one is hard to spice up! I like @Cole idea about cute dish towels and funky spices. 
you could try some easy marinades too that xome in jars for slow cooking
