Yes, this is an actual "argument." Haha.
When you get in/out of the shower, you you enter/exit on the side closest to the shower head or closest to the back of the tub?

Our toilet is by the side where the head is, so we sort of have to use the back! (plus the towels hang closest to there)
But if I think about it, if the toilet wasn't there I'd probably enter by the head.

Back! I go in near the water, and leave out the back! My towel is near the back.

Our towel racks are closer to the shower head so I get out on that side.

Close to the shower rack because our towels on the bathroom door next to the shower.

I guess the "back," but the shower head is at the back of the bathroom at our house, and our toilet is next to the tub at that end, so we exit the other side.

If I used the front I would end up having to walk through the stream of water to get into the spot/position for washing my hair. That is definitely the wrong way.

I think... the middle? Hahaha. I turn the water off, then just leave from the middle where I'm standing!

I use a shower stall so, n/a. But when I'm visiting my parents I get in at the back in case the water is too hot or too cold, I don't want to have to deal with that head on when I first get in!

Depends on the bathroom layout. In our bathroom, I get in/out at the end opposite the shower head, but at my parents' house, I use the end with the shower head. It's just based on what's comfortable for that particular room.

My guess would be that in most bathrooms this will depend on what the shower is next to. In our upstairs bathroom we get out at the back since the shower head is next to the toilet. In our downstairs bathroom it's flipped so we get out at the shower end.

I get in at the back, need to make sure the water is warm before fully getting wet! haha but I'm pretty sure I get out on the side closest to the head, I wonder why I mix it up?

Front, but only because the back is near the door/sinks and the front is close to the towel racks, the bath mat (we can't put the mat toward the back because of the door).
Totally depends on the layout of the bathroom

@wonderstruck: @Rainbow Sprinkles: Right?! DH thinks I'm so weird because I enter from the back (admittedly, I do have to go around the toilet) but why would you enter INTO the stream of water?!

@mediagirl: This! Always at the back, in case I need to adjust the water temperature!

For those who enter nearest the shower head, do you wash your hair every day? If not, how do you keep your head from getting wet?!

@Ra: I do have a shower cap. Totally an old granny shower cap.
However, it depends on the bathroom. Our masterbath, I get in at the side of the shower head. If I didn't I'd have to sneak between the tub and the toilet and that's a PITA.
In the guest bathroom, which I use regularly because of sleep issues with L, I get in at the back, otherwise, again, I would be sneaking between the toilet and the tub.

My bathroom is a shower stall, so this doesn't apply to me.
But I would say when I use my DH's bathroom or a hotel bathroom, I like to enter from the front, because that's where I like to feel the temp of the water before heading in. I guess you could feel the temp from either side but I guess I prefer to be where I can change the controls and where there is more flow.
When I exit, it depends on where the towel rack is or where I put the towel... sometimes I lay it on the toilet. Which I think is usually in the back.

Front because the toilet is next to the tub, and I can't get in and out from the back.

@Ra: I usually always wash my hair when I shower. I think I've use a shower cap about less than 5 times in my life.

i enter on the non shower head side but i get out on the shower head side. the toilet is on the non shower head side so i throw my towel on the floor by the shower head... so i think that's why i get out on that side!

Front, because I don't turn the water onto the shower head until I'm already in the shower!

@MrsBrewer: same here. I get in through the front and then change the water from spout to shower head.

I've done both depending on the location of the toilet, as most places I've lived the Toilet has been next to ther tub/shower.

Front, always! Never considered doing differently. I wouldn't want to take extra steps to enter in back and want to get warm right away. And once the shower is off, why would i walk to the back?
