Xander is 5 months. He used to go down for naps sooooooooo easily - turn on the white noise, do a half swaddle (swaddle from chest down), place in crib, walk away! He might fuss for a couple minutes, but he was generally out pretty quickly.

The past two days, he has REFUSED to nap and I'm at my wit's end!!! Yesterday, he went down for ONE nap, and then every nap after that, he just screamed and screamed until we finally gave up. The only "naps" he got was when he was nursing and he seemed to doze off while nursing for maybe 20 minutes. So he basically got one hour long nap and two 20 minute on the boob naps.

So now we're trying again today. He was due for a nap and I went grocery shopping. When I get home, he's crying hysterically and hasn't napped at all. Hubs thinks he's hungry, so I nurse him, and he sort of dozes for 20 minutes while nursing. Then I change his diaper, but he doesn't seem super lively, so I'm thinking he can still use a nap. I put him down for a nap, white noise, swaddle, etc, and the SCREAMING begins. I can't take it!!!

I've been trying to do Ferber, so I went in after 5 minutes and then again after 10, and he just doesn't stop crying!!! I just don't know what to do! Do I just keep trying? Is there a point where I give up on the nap? Why won't my baby sleep??? It's breaking my heart listening to him...
