So we're on a wine tasting vacation and had to give DD 3 bottles yesterday. Now she refuses to nurse. She'll latch and pop off right when I letdown, screaming, and won't stop until she gets a bottle.
Any ideas on how to turn this around?

Is this her first time with bottles? Is anything else going on? My only experience with true nursing strikes have been when LO was uncomfortable (congested, teething). It takes patience, but I could still get her to nurse when sleepy. Otherwise, I just had to wait it out and pump in the meantime. Luckily, the longest it's ever lasted for us was about 3 days.
These days, we're having some issues where she is too impatient to wait for letdown so she will latch and then unlatch really quickly and get fussy. My trick for this is to put her in a nursing position, give her a pacifier to calm her down for a minute or two, then quick pop it out and put her on the breast. So far that has worked.
Good luck to you!

@catlady: it's the first time having so many bottles. I mean, I guess it's good because she goes to daycare next week, but it's really frustrating because I can't easily pump in public.

@BabyBoecksMom: Hmm, that's tough! Are you using the slowest flow nipples for the bottles? If not, I would recommend using those (if you can get some while you are away). Maybe try the switch trick I mentioned with the bottle instead of the pacifier? It would be tricky in public, but maybe in a car or something. Oh, another thing I do is try to find a quiet, dark place to nurse so my LO is less distracted. Again, not sure how feasible that would be while away...
