So I have a rare (in the US) and hard to pronounce name due to it's spelling. Therefore, one of my criteria for baby names is that it is rarely mispronounced and easy to spell. For example, my daughter's name is Rose.
We are moments away from having a son, and have not agreed on a name. My favorite name is Brady, which my husband won't go for because we live in New England and he thinks everyone will think it is for Tom Brady (it wasn't, but he has a point). So he came up with Brody, which I like but not as much as Brady. But seeing how he won't cave, Brody ended up on the short list.
Now one of the other names I'm having a time with is his #1 pick... Wesley. For starters I feel like people won't know if it is Wesley or Westley. Interesting enough Westley came up on my spell checker while typing as incorrect, but Wesley did not. That alone may have helped me.
Also, we wouldn't call him Wesley very often and would most likely use Wes. However our last name starts with an "S". Would that be super hard to say?
Help....
