My SIL offered to babysit LO this Saturday while we move! I'm sooo happy!

LMW was up and down all night with teething pain. She jsut took a 4+ hour nap for our nanny. YAY! (I hope it doesn't interfere with her night sleep tonight, oh no...)

I sat outside for an hour after I got off work. It's pretty warm today and was nice to soak up some sun.

@Leialou: I'm jealous! DH is home with W today and has been telling me how great the weather is. This is absolutely perfect weather to run in and I can't get out of here fast enough today! Hopefully it'll still be light when I get home.
ETA: I forgot to add the highlight of my day. It's Willa's birthday!!! (so I'll overlook the fact that she's been in such a bad mood - haha)

Highlight of my day: Getting 2 PBK hooded towels for Baby Shopaholic on sale (even though it was still almost $50 for 2 towels! crikey!) We only got one towel at her baby shower, but I was able to exchange the robe for another towel, so we are officially at 4 hooded towels and I'm calling that [category] DONE!

The nice weather!!! LO and I played outside for awhile earlier and he loved it! It's still really nice outside and DH just got home so we're all going for a run

E cried less than 5 minutes for each nap today. When he went down for his last nap he didn't cry at all. And he's now been asleep for 2.5 hours. I actually just checked to make sure he was still breathing, lol. Small things, but it's been nice to get some housework done.

Charlie had a dentist cleaning and was so brave! No cavities (yet)!

We bought a baby swing for $35 and the lady tossed in a nice activity mat for free.

I pulled the trigger and ordered LO's play kitchen today. I've been holed up in this house for days with a sick baby, I needed some retail therapy

Coming home to LO, as soon as I walk in the door, his face lights up and he crawls to me as fast as he can! I love it!

@BabyBoecksMom: Yay Willa!!!On a not so great day (all 4 wisdom teeth extracted) I was so very blessed. Both my mom and my MIL were here with me all day and DH and I had a really good talk about our future (his school, our move, etc etc). Oh, AND KU won. Awesome top off to the day!

We've had a rough patch off and on lately so honestly I'm a-okay with feeling poopy because he's totally pulling out all the stops for me @tororojo: AH! That's amazing! Congratulations!!! Thanks, luckily I have the WHOLE week off from work (I see a lot of HB posts in my future...maybe I'll bump up to the next level!) and good drugs

@prettylizy: we've been home sick too and the only thing that's made it somewhat okay is online retail therapy haha. What play kitchen did you buy?DH has two days off!!! That doesn't sound great but he's worked the past 10 days from 6am-8pm with a few early days going in at 3am. Solo parenting has been rough especially because the LO's and I have had a bad cold. So glad he's home.

@HLK208: The renovations are done! The new carpet was installed today and it makes such a big difference! We have some big projects ahead but not until the end of the year or next year...remodeling bathrooms & the kitchens will cost a lot.
I'm happy about my SIL offering to babysit but I don't want LO to get her sick since she is pregnant. Hopefully LO can have a quick recovery before this weekend!
Yay for your DH having 2 days off! Solo parenting is soooo hard!

Just woke up bc H was up, and realized she slept 5.5 hours straight! Almost passed out! I haven't gotten 5.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep in a long-ass time!

@autumnlove: @shopaholic: hurrah, best result ever... LMW STTN last night for the first time in a month or so!!! One little crying wakeup but only cried for 1.5 mins and went back to sleep. Oh sweet 7 hours of uninterrupted sweet, where have you been all my life (for the past 6 months)....

I'm still in shock... but it's probably because I wasn't at home yesterday. Yesterday I had a work event that is the one time a year I stay late. We originally had a babysitter lined up to help Wagon Sr. with WJ while WS put LMW down (haha acronyms) but she had to back out at the last minute because of a death in the family
but he still wanted to try (meaning, getting home in time to relieve the nanny at 5, taking LMW to pick up WJ, feeding WJ dinner and putting LMW to bed, then WJ to bed) so we just went ahead with our plan minus babysitter. Everything went smoothly except when he was putting WJ to bed, LMW started crying. He wanted to let her cry a little so he rushed thru WJ's bedtime routine, and when he was done she had stopped and fallen asleep. She cried for a total of 13 minutes. I would NOT have let that fly if I were home BUT it looks like this is the kickstarting of sleep training because obviously it worked for last night! She was a smiley, happy baby this morning (and so were mommy and daddy)!!!! I was so sad last night knowing she had cried for 13 minutes (I've never let her cry for more than 5) but obviously daddy was right in this instance. She desperately needed the sleep after monday night's fiasco.
