I'm throwing around the idea of baking something for the floaters at daycare for the holidays. In lieu of bringing in donuts or bagels. I'm thinking something in individual muffin / cupcakes form would be the easiest.
Any ideas for something seasonal and/festive?

What about chocolate peppermint chip muffins (more of a cupcake without the messy frosting!) Or cranberry orange is great for christmas.

@MenagerieMama: I made pumpkin "bars" for the thanksgiving feast at daycare and I think it was a big hit!

I think muffins are a great idea. Frosting might get messy so something neat that you can cram in your mouth sounds good!

This is a great idea! Also most muffins/cupcakes freeze well for a few days so we may make ahead this weekend.

@Mamaof2: ooh those look delicious! I've never made scones before. I'm a little intimidated but I think I'm going to attempt them.
What would be something good to add to? Most of them don't drink coffee. Fruit salad can get kinda expensive this time of year. I was thinking hot chocolate but not sure how to transport and keep warm that's also disposable.

@Mamaof2: that's a good idea too. I was thinking of individually wrapping the scones. Then packaging that with a packet of hot chocolate and stir stick in a disposable hot cup!

We always make apple pie muffins at Christmas and they're yummy and festive! Add some Christmas wrappers and you're set.
