Is it better than Melting Pot?! I still need to go!

The whole family goes to church then to my parents (use to my grandparents) for appetizer dinner, gifts, then we just all hang out. So much fun! I also loved we would lay around on Christmas Day in our pj's all day playing games, followed by steaks for dinner. I miss that now that I have to go to the IL Christmas Day.

@prettylizy: My family always did (chocolate) fondue on New Years! Agreed: amazing, delicious family tradition.
Ours for christmas is the same as many Jewish families: Chinese food and a movie. Growing up, we also often did some kind of community service that day, helping serve at a shelter, cleaning up a park, etc.

At my aunt and uncle's house (where we are this year), my aunt makes her homemade breakfast tacos on Christmas morning. She makes her own tortillas, which is what really makes them extra special.

DH and I stayed home and did our own Christmas in California the last couple of years, and we started our own tradition of dungeness crab on Christmas eve. We would buy the live ones , and then boil them. I'll miss that tradition, now that we live in Iowa, and there is no fresh seafood to be found.
