After a long TTC and going through IVF, she's coming out of it with 3 babies, so happy for her!
Any cute shower or gift ideas for triplets? Any other mom's of multiples get anything creative that you loved? Obviously I know they need lots of practical things, but I like to throw something fun in there too!

Wow! That's a lot of babies! lol If I had triplets, I would definitely dress them up in the same outfit at least once for pictures! Maybe get them matching onesies?

@banana: I would dress them in matching outfits every day if I could! But I bet that would get hard once someone poo's, pee's, or throws up on an outfit. Then you have to change them all! They're going team green so it's going to be hard to find so many nuetral clothes.... but matching outfits will be cute!

Holy moly!!! Congrats to them! I'd probably get them something practical and then get them something fun like onesies that say Big sibling, middle sibling, baby.

@chopsuey119: I know, I already thought how much I wish she were the pig lover so I could throw a 3 little pigs shower. She loves another animal though, so I might end up getting her 3 of those.... or 3 onesies with the animal on them.

@marriedandlovingit: Oh my god I'm freaking out way more than she is! As a mother of one, I'm worried about their small house, they have to get a van, they are going to have to buy so many things, not to mention how they won't be sleeping..... ever! One is so hard, I can't imagine 3! Hopefully they'll have very well behaved babies

@Mrsbells: I know.... I love making diaper cakes and things out of the diapers but I'm thinking that she'll just have to sit there and take it all apart after that. Maybe a big box from costco would be better even if it's not as cute.

@artbee: Having supportive friends and family helping out is going to be essential! A woman I know here had her water break at 25 weeks with twins. She was in the hospital for a couple of months before they decided to go ahead and deliver the babies. Their neighbors and family helped them so much by bringing them meals and helping out with the babies however they could.
With all that said, I cannot imagine having triplets! My mind goes straight to how little sleep they will be getting, and trying to get them on a similar schedule. Yikes! Trying to get one baby on a good schedule can be difficult enough!

I did not have triplets but I had twins and an 8 month old. Everyone still thinks they are triplets. Even though she doesn't like pigs a three little pigs shower would be so cute and gender neutral.
As a mom of multiples I don't usually dress them the same but I do cordinate for pictures. Most of the moms of multiples I know do the same so coordinating outfits or Jammie's would be cute. On the practical side taking up collections for big items would be helpful. I had a triple stroller that allowed me to actually go places with my three infants and not feel trapped. Also diapers it's amazing how much diapers my three boys went through in a week.

Yikes. I have cared for triplets in NICU (we try to assign one family all to one nurse) and I would be scared sh!tless if someone told me I was pregnant with triplets! She is going to need A LOT of help for a long time. She will likely need some prem sized clothes, because the probability she will go to term is really low. Also, she is pretty likely to have to go on bed rest, so she would probably need a lot of extra help in that case as well! I am sure you will have lots of opportunities to show support/lend a hand!

@marriedandlovingit: I can't wait to start helping with her babies! My LO has always been all about her mommy and daddy and nobody else, major stranger anxiety, but hopefully these babies won't be like that because they'll have lots of people helping and holding them constantly. But I know no matter how much we help, they still won't be able to sleep. Sucks!
@MsMini: Thanks for all the advice! Seriously, I don't know how people with multiples do it! Especially when you have more kids then you do hands. Luckily I have some newborn clothes that look like prem (stupid Gerber and their weird sizing!) that my LO was always too big for, and I'm 100% sure that no baby I have will ever fit into, so I'll pass those down to her.
@mrs. wagon: I'm thinking of having a diaper raffle for the shower. That will also help her get a lot of diapers!
@Oceanis723: Wow.... that's a lot of babies! I'm sure she would love a stroller. I know that there's a Mom's of Multiples group locally, do you belong to yours? I'm thinking that might be a good place to find a used stroller, since I'm sure those are expensive! I feel like they have garage sales.

Yes I belong to San Fernando valleys mothers of multiples. The national organization is NOMOTC national organization of mothers of twins club. They do have sales and often have club members who would donate. Your friend can join provisionally while pregnant and then permanently join once they are born. Those ladies would probably be a great place for her to find advice. The triple and quad strollers are pricey we got ours used for 500. Its retail was 1200 (Just plain craziness if you ask me). They might be able to find people with car seats, cribs and high chairs in those groups. I know we had a lot of hand me downs. When you have to have three of everything it just gets crazy. People used to laugh when they came to my house. We had three high chairs lined up in the wall, Three cribs in the nursery, now three potty chairs in the bathroom it just gets crazy.
I would recommend a group like that not just for finding stuff but for emotional support. No one can Relate unless they have been there. I can tell you, I live my three boys (and my new little girl). Bit man they kicked my butt that first year. Having another mom of multiples to just say its ok to be overwhelmed, because some day you will look back and it will not seem so bad.

@artbee: that's such a great idea! and I just realized you asked for CUTE ideas. duh. Diapers are so practical but alas, not that cute.
I used to make bouquets from baby onesies, socks, and mitts... it would be cute to make a little nosegay for each baby. maybe one onesie, one pair of socks (makes 2 flowers), one pair of mitts (makes 2 flowers)? I would just roll them up to look like roses and put rubber bands around them to hold them together, then stick them on sticks and bind them together. Then I'd use fake flower leaves around the edges, stick in some ribbon flowers (from the craft store), and wrap the handle in pretty ribbon and attach a pretty bow.

WOW! i'm scared and i'm only having 2! lol. i was very worried when i heard that an egg could split so my twins could turn to triplets!
i personally don't want to dress my babies the same, but with triplets, you have to do it at least once to capture the moment! i love seeing triplets in the same outfit! i can't believe she has the patience to wait until their born to find out the sexes! she's going to have to think of at least 6 names! (we can't even settle on 2!)
i think the 3 lil piggies would have been SO cute! i guess 3 blind mice isn't great eh? what about goldilocks and the 3 bears? good luck to your friend!

@Oceanis723: Thanks! I just emailed the link to our local group to my friend. I can't imagine, we have enough trouble affording our one baby, and I'm pretty sure my hubby makes more than them.... and I don't know if she'll be able to work when the babies come because it will be kind of pointless if all her money goes to daycare. I'm so overwhelmed and it's not even me!

For cute gifts you should look on cafepress.com. They have lots of cute triplet stuff. I saw a set of Onsies that have bar codes on them and across the top says , one of three, two if three, etc. I love some of the parent shirts. I saw one that said I am. Father of triplets I nap at red lights , and you can't scare me I have triplets, my husband had one that said dad3 (cubed, sorry I don't know how to do superscript on my phone) he wore that every time we went out in public. What a proud daddy he was!
