Okay, so 1) I would consider a home birth but the idea of giving birth on the bed I sleep on every night would skeez me out. 2) Robyn is a champ...she handled it better than I think I could even if I had drugs, lol (I'm hoping for a natural birth though).

It's just not for me. In case there are any complications whatsoever, I want to have a NICU and doctors right there, not a drive away.

I haven't seen it yet but that is not for me either.

I haven't seen it (but now i want to!) but I read about a home birth on another blog that made it seem not only bearable, but something I'd be willing to try. I'm wondering how bad Robyn's seemed. That's odd to me that she gave birth on their bed though!

Oh, I didn't realize the episode came on tonight. I recorded it on the dvr and can't wait to watch. I'll have to wait until my husband goes to work though. He doesn't really care for the show.
As far as home birth goes. It is something that I have considered a lot. I think I am going to go with a birth center though to be closer to the hospital in case of an emergency. That makes my husband and mom more comfortable with the idea of me having a natural birth.

I didn't watch because I don't get TLC over here, but I'm going to find it on the internet now.
I really, really considered homebirth. I wanted to do it in a birthing pool in our living room. DH was vehemently against it though.

Yay, I'm so excited to watch it. I love that show!
@zippylef: You're the one giving birth! You should be able to do it how you're most comfortable!
Me.... I'm way too wimpy for that. I had an epidural at 4 centimeters and before that I thought I was going to die. But more power to you natural birth ladies!

@Navy_Mommy: totally agree - having a baby on the bed I sleep on every night would creep me out! I'm not up for a home birth although I can only imagine how nice it would be to give birth at home then BE at home and not have to stay in a hospital!!

I watched it! Well..I actually watched the marathon all day, but I did see the finale. I'll admit I cried. She was a total champ..props to her! I don't think I could do it.
