@babyjmama: I should go back to WB and see what Jag did! I'm not on fb anymore but with first/current house we did progress pics as it went up and then once we were in, and had an album for all to see....the pics are surely something I will do again.....so exciting!
Maybe for listing plan a trip away for first few days listed when more go through? If it was summer I would have just gone to cottage for the week, lol. Damn golden retriever hair

@Beebug: Search for 'the jaguars build a home' it was seriously the only thread I kept up on after our wedding!
Gah, we have a yellow lab...totally feel your pain. Our vet loves to point out "Wow, she really does shed more than most labs!" Yep. Sure does. Thanks.

@LindsayInNYC: Plus, lets not forget the insaaaaaaane maintenance fees in NYC. Maintenance is almost as bad as the mortgage.

@Anagram: Ohhh, just went back to find that post. I didn't even realize that was from you! Attorney review gives you 3 days review before entering a contract? Where is this place - it's nice!
@plantains: Seriously! The place we're thisclose to getting under contract has reasonable maintenance fees and taxes, thankfully! A lot of places include taxes in the maintenance fees which make them seem even higher.

@LindsayInNYC: It's in the back of Hoboken, not far from the new Shoprite. It's 3 days review, yes....but we had a multiple offer situation so they accepted our offer verbally and we submitted all the paperwork. Then they came back and said they had yet another offer from the other people bidding and told us to make our best offer--so we adjusted a little and then they verbally accepted again. Lots of drama. So, my husband did all the paperwork with the new financing last night again and *hopefully* now we'll be going into attorney review. At this point, we don't trust the sellers word at all, for obvious reasons. =)
Is your place that going under contract on the jersey side or in the city?

@Anagram: It's actually in Bronxville (Westchester) - 2 train stops north of the Bronx! NY is a little different though so there is no formal "attorney review" period. It's been a rollercoaster process though!

@LindsayInNYC: oh! One of my friends' sisters lives in Bronxville. I mean, I don't know the sister but the friend has come to visit me and then gone to visit her sister.
She works at some kind of medical company in the Bronx, so it's super close for her.

@Anagram: Small world! They have one of the best public schools in the nation which was a big draw for us (despite not being pregnant yet...) I'm excited to start making a place our own!
