Theyre at the funeral now... there has to be a terrorist attack, right??
They never accounted for those codes that Brody stole from Estes office earlier this season... and getting all these high level people together is a lot like what happened last year!
Just a theory...

We're going to watch it tonight. I'm so excited! I keep seeing a lot of the same sentiment over social media: OMG! Haha.

UM yeah that episode was AMAZING. I completely didn't see that coming. At all. I wonder what they're going to do next season. There's no way Brody will stay in Canada (that's where she dropped him off, right?) with Carrie doing all the "name clearing" work in the US, right? GAH I can't wait for next season

Just watched it... So excited for next season now! Anyone else kind if glad Estes is gone? I didn't like him! But I love Peter Quinn now! That scene in Estes bedroom was great.

How will Carrie explain where she went after the bomb went off?

very satisfied with the season finale. the second season wasn't as great as the first season for me (maybe because i watched the entire first season at once after it was over).
estes must be sad he's off the show. wonder who will be carrie's nemesis now. love saul though and peter turned out to be pretty bad ass!

@mrbee: As soon as they showed people getting seated for the funeral, DH said, "that would be a really good place for a terrorist attack." Then when it happened he stood up to take his congratulations lol.
I can't say I'm sad to see Estes go.
Best line of the night: Or else you'll find me back in this room. Because I'm the guy who kills bad guys.
Second best line: You are the smartest and the dumbest f***ing person I have ever met.
Weirdest moment: Carrie and Brody being all cutesy and happy in the cabin. DH pointed out that it was supposed to make you uncomfortable... if so, it worked.
Another weird moment was the look on Chris and Dana's faces watching the news cast. I get it, it's horrifying. But seriously, the actors on this show make the WORST EFFING FACES. JUST STOP.
Do you think Brody actually did it? If not, who planted the bomb? It seemed like he was being set up as a scapegoat, between him seeming genuinely surprised and the confession video that Al Qaeda leaked.
WHO IS THE MOLE?!
And I'm excited that we apparently get to see more Quinn next year. He's the best.
pomelo / 5331 posts
@mrbee: I know, I was thinking that too!! "I was, um, in the bathroom" ???
pomelo / 5331 posts
@smocks: That's the thing -- he's pretty recognizable worldwide now, fake passport or not. Isn't Canada obligated to send him back over here once he's spotted? I just don't get how that's a long-term solution.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@ladyfingers: Both of those lines were pretty epic!
I don't get why Dana was suddently back on Team Dad when the feds showed up... that seemed weird to me.
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
Oh and Carrie TOTALLY got pwned by Abu Nazir. Like super duper pwned. I'm surprised she wasn't more upset about that, since she's been obsessed with him for forever.
pomegranate / 3872 posts
OMG it was so good! I actually liked this season just as much as the first! I'll miss Estes - I can't believe the actor is British!
@ladyfingers: Yeah, I was kind of cracking up about the prospect of a passport with another name being enough. Carrie should have had a box of hair dye in that escape trunk of hers!
pomegranate / 3872 posts
@mrbee: I think even though Dana was horrified when her dad told her the truth in the bedroom - she took that to mean that if he was serious enough to tell her (and only her) the truth about what he was going to do that day, she believed him that he 'wasn't that person anymore.'
apricot / 483 posts
@hilsy85: OH MY GOSH yeah I couldn't stand Quinn this whole season and now I love him!
@ladyfingers: Ooh also, isn't Canada like 6-7 hours away from DC? I feel like that car trip didn't take that long...
I'm surprised she "chose" Brody over the CIA job. I kept thinking back to the hotel room and her outing him as a terrorist. Can you imagine trying to get that out of your head in a relationship?! "um, you can clean up your own damn dishes, you called me a terrorist." lol
pomelo / 5331 posts
@mrbee: I think it's one thing when you want to be all angsty and hate your dad and give him a hard time, but when Special Forces shows up at your house and you know what it means if they get a hold of your dad, your true colors come out. She loves him and wants to protect him, and they've always had that special bond where he tells her things he doesn't tell many other people.
pomelo / 5331 posts
@smocks: She's just plain nuts. How could she ever believe that being all domestic and normal would make her feel better than the thrill of working for the CIA? Also, that whole box full of backup identities and cash and her crystal clear vision of an escape plan? *CRAZYTOWN!!*
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@ladyfingers: Definitely true historically... although there was the recent thing where she wouldn't even talk to him and then told him that Mike was a better dad than he was. Ouchies!
apricot / 483 posts
@ladyfingers: Haha yeah the kid's faces can be pretty ridiculous sometimes, but I do kinda like Dana. She for sure wears her emotions on her sleeves, but she's got a good heart and moral compass.
pomelo / 5331 posts
I'm also a little disappointed that this likely means we're going to see more of the Brody family next year. Brody's one thing, but that clan is just YUCK. And I hate Mike. I think he's so bland.
apricot / 483 posts
@ladyfingers: Haha oh no I love Mike! It's Jess that makes me want to yank out my hair. I don't know what it is about her, she drives me up the wall.

Sauls wife is coming back!
How is Carrie going to explain where she has been?
Who released the tape? The terrorists? How did they get it?
I love Dana. Faces and all.
The scene at the cabin was the one time Carrie didn't look crazy.
@ladyfingers: I bet she set all of that up during one of her episodes when she wasn't on medication.
I hope it's not cold out. Brody certainly didn't have a lot to get him by in the woods.
Quinn is an awesome badass. I knew he wasn't going to kill Brody as soon as he stood up for Carrie to Estes on the phone.
Ahhhhhhh stupid cliffhanger!!!
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
Aaaah WTF - I am not satisfied! What IS Carrie going to say?
She really is the f*cking dumbest and smartest person!
Too bad Brody's stupid family will still be around. They should've gone to the memorial!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@Andrea: haha. I thought there was a chance Brody's daughter would go. Shame Jessica didn't go after all. :-\
nectarine / 2522 posts
I agree with PP - how on earth is Carrie going to explain where she had been... I wanted her to go with Brody!
I had a brief thought that maybe Saul had done it to make Carrie think Brody had done it... And to get rid of Estes. But surely not right?
grapefruit / 4235 posts
Finally watched the finale last night - cant believe we have to wait for a year to resolve all of these issues!
Seriously, how is Saul going to protect Carrie now?
I am glad Estes is dead, and that Quinn ended up having a pair and standing up to him.
Also, what is going to happen to Dana since the hush money dried up w the death of the VP's entire family?
pomelo / 5331 posts
@mediagirl: Carrie found a copy of the video in that knapsack she took from the Hezbollah commander's office. I'm assuming they had more than one copy floating around within the organization. The guards at the airport also confiscated that copy from Saul (but only after Saul had made another copy), so there's plenty of that video floating around the Middle East.
My theory is, since Brody is no longer terribly useful to Al Qaeda, why not sacrifice him and frame him as the bombing agent? That way, the mole (whomever that may be) -- who ACTUALLY set up the bombing -- can continue to operate usefully. They were able to kill two birds with one stone -- kill Brody in retribution for leading to Abu Nazzir's death, and use him as a scapegoat. Think about it -- somebody had to have moved the car who would not have drawn attention, because they were supposed to be there (or at least didn't look out of place there). I just don't think Brody actually did it. I don't think they would have had a reason to leak the tape had he done it. DH disagrees with me, but I'm sticking to it!
I really don't think Saul is behind anything. He kind of seemed like he was losing his mind a little bit after the bombing.
Also, DH made a good point -- now that we don't have the CIA deputy director or VP around, are we finally going to get to meet the president?? And my question -- why wasn't the president at the VP's memorial?!
grapefruit / 4235 posts
@ladyfingers: I don't think that was the VP's only memorial - just the one at the CIA. Kind of a "colleague memorial" since he used to be the deputy director?
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@ladyfingers: Oh I thought (assumed?) the copy they confiscated was a blank... interesting!
pomelo / 5331 posts
@mrbee: Oh I hadn't even thought about that! But still... I'm sure that the card in the knapsack wasn't the only copy.

First, the finale was AMAZING.
Second, all that I could think of during Dana scenes was "Phalanges!!!!!!"
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@winniebee: @mrbee: me three. I kept staring at her phalanges waiting for them to do their thing. LOL.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@ladyfingers: Those were my favorite lines two (in opposite order!) I love Saul - especially in that episode!
@smocks: hahaha "um, you can clean up your own damn dishes, you called me a terrorist." - that's hysterical. I have no idea how she can look past all that!
@ladyfingers: Agreed - Carrie is whacked.
@smocks: I also am not a Jess fan. I don't get why she was so upset when he was on the phone with Carrie, when the day before she was sleeping with Mike.
