@mediagirl: perfect timing! I have been meaning to look for a copy cat recipe! its the only chicken my kids eat! I tried making some fried nuggets at home with panko and they wouldn't eat them - sigh....

I clicked in this thread thinking it was a link to the same recipe I use, but it's different. Like @Mae: mentioned, the one I used marinades in pickle juice.

@Mae: I used to work for Chick-fil-a. When I worked there almost 10 years ago and used to do the breeding myself, nuggets and filets are not marinated, but strips and grilled filets are (secret in marinade is pickle juice). I can check with my friends who own or still work there but I believe the practice is the same.

The milk wash they used before breeding is just dipped and not marinated. But if you want it juicier, I can see how marinating it could help.

@mediagirl: I don't know what is in the coater (flour mixture) but the recipe looks close enough. Glad to hear it taste good. I'll have to try it sometime soon. I am excited that Chick-fil-A is finally coming to Seattle areas (3 stores) in Spring of 2015. I can't wait.

I had to come back and tell you that I made these last night and they were sooo good! I ended up adding pickle juice to the marinade and DH loved it so much, we made them again tonight! Thanks @mediagirl: and @TemperanceBrennan:
