Wow what? They did this because of a creepypasta story!? Didn't anyone ever teach these girls not to believe every random thing they read on the internet, least of all bad horror stories that are all made up?

There must be something really wrong with these girls to actually go through with stabbing someone. It's quite the jump to go from reading horror stories to planning the murder of a friend.

This is so sad Like @TemperanceBrennan: I am right near there, so this really stings even more. How can children even act this way?!

I don't even know what to say about this, other than I am glad that they are being tried as adults.

I just spent some time on creepypasta (which I had never heard of before today) to try to figure out why that website made these girls think they needed to murder their friend. I don't get it.

I also don't understand why they were allowed on that website at all though ....

Ugh, I heard about this this morning on my way in – so horrific. I am so glad that the victim survived. However, I am extremely uncomfortable with 12 year olds being charged as adults; especially if/when the punishment includes life in prison. Their “rational” thinking behind committing real life crimes to impress a fictional character on the internet is anything but rational or normal; I hope they both get some help too.

The story below it is just as horrible (if not more so)! A 7 & 8 year old stabbed, one fatally, while in an elevator on their way down to get ice cream. I can't even wrap my mind around these kinds of stories. So tragic.

WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?? How are these girls growing up in an environment where they think this is OK?

If you tell people you watch your 12 year old like a hawk and stalk which websites they go to and which movies they watch and so fourth, some will look at you like you're crazy. Well, I don't give a damn. 12 years olds are clearly not immune to the susceptibilities that any other person is. Influence is influence, and these girls were influenced by killers. That's just so terrible. I feel so bad for their parents, because I am sure they never thought that their allowing the girl to use the internet would result in her trying to kill someone. But, lesson learned.

I hope the victim survives But, I am sure she is forever traumatized, physically scarred and will suffer health-wise from this for years to come.
