DH & I will be celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We just bought a new car, are trying to pay off debts & just in general prepping for the holidays & a new baby so we aren't doing a whole lot but I would like to go out to a really nice dinner. DH'S idea of dinner is Chili's so I can't just suggest we go somewhere nice without any recommendations. Anyone have an recs for us to spend a nice evening out togeyher without LO?

Pappas Steak House is AMAZING, that would definitely be my number one rec.
after that, Trulucks, Mark's, or Eddie V's are all great. -
Ooh, I have some places! I love Churrasco's, which is a Latin American steak place. Also, Hugo's is really good fancy Mexican. Giacomos is a small italian place that is delicious. Coltivare is another amazing Italian place - they usually have a long wait, FYI. Provisions is really good, it's connected to a SUPER fancy place called The Pass that I haven't been to.

Shade is one of my favorites. It's so cute and nice, but not ridiculously expensive. It's small and perfect for an intimate date night.

Zelko's and Shade in the Heights
Churrasco's or Americas for latin food (multiple locations)
Straights is Singaporean and has the BEST fish I've had in a really long time (City Center)
I've heard really great things about Sal y Pimienta (South American steak house in City Center) and I'm planning DH's 40th birthday dinner there next month
Reef is awesome and the chef is award winning -
My favorites for a special night out are Backstreet Cafe, Taste of Texas, and Artisans.

Our favorite date spot is Dolce Vita (westheimer near montrose) (Italian) Also love Churrascos and Shade. Uchi is yum for sushi.

So many good choices already mentioned. We just ate at backstreet cafe last weekend for my birthday. They have the best patio in town and it is perfect patio weather right now. Definitely make a reservation for outside if you go there. Shade's sister restaurant, Canopy, is also good if you are closer to the Montrose area. I love the Glass Wall in the Heights, but it can be a bit loud, so maybe not intimate enough for your anniversary.
