Daycare has already closed so I'm "working from home". We went to the store yesterday and people were stockpiling water. Have you done any preparations? Are you worried about the predicted rain?

How much rain are they saying? I just heard 7-10 inches for us in the DFW area!
Stay dry Houston bees.

My office is closed and so is DH's. Daycare is open but we're keeping LO home. We filled our gas tanks and got water but if the power goes out we'll have to survive on animal crackers...really hoping that doesn't happen! Stay safe everyone.

@MamaG: They're saying 6-8 inches in most areas and 10-15 in some.

DH went to work early because they didn't want all the operators coming in and are expecting a lot of call offs. Hopefully he comes home early too. I bought some supplies yesterday and got gas. FX we don't lose power and it's not as bad as they are predicting.

I'm not too worried since we are in a high area. Not any chance of flooding. I'm frustrated that I have my first OB appointment today and it better not get cancelled!

I'm not worried compared to the Memorial Day storms, but I did buy some batteries, nonperishables and water to have on hand for hurricane season as a whole. DH already went in to work, and it feels like a usual day here.

Our offices are closed, so we just plan on staying home. I'm at the dentist now getting a filling, but after this, I plan on going straight home to ride it out.

Went to the store last night to get some water and more food. I think we'll be fine, but wanted to make sure. LOs swim classes were cancelled obviously, so we'll just be staying indoors and maybe going out to splash in the puddles and rain a bit!

I'm in the office and DH is traveling. The nanny brought her kids with her today, so they are all hanging out at my house. I'm not worried. We have a case of bottled water and batteries that we always keep on hand, but I didn't go buy anything specific for this storm.
I'm a little worried about getting home with flooding because all three roads that I can take to get back home tend to flood and the reservoir that they border is already higher than normal. But we will monitor it and I might go home early if it looks bad.

I'm actually stuck in Houston right now trying to get back to CT. Our flight was cancelled last night because of storms in the NE, so really hoping we get out today before the rain really starts!

Day care closed and Girl Scout camp was cancelled for the day. DH's office was closed but he's at home working. Sent the kids to my mom's house and I'm actually sitting here at work. Keeping a close eye though.. gonna leave as early as possible.

I was supposed to go to the waterpark today but obviously that got cancelled

Stay safe. Is there just crazy wet weather everywhere? Last night, the tornado sirens went off in Chicago coupled with flash flood warnings.

We've gotten like nothing over here. Barely even any rain.
@HTownMom: went great! no problem

My office is all working from home today. Which seems kind of silly so far, since it's hardly been raining. But better safe than sorry I suppose! And I can't say I mind working on the couch, in my PJs, surrounded by my three cats

@HTownMom: it's been raining over here, but not very hard. Looks like the roads will be fine this afternoon. Hope yall are enjoying playing in the puddles!

We actually haven't had much, and it even stopped when I had to take both girls to doctors appts for their ears.
@MrsYellowJacket: I didn't realize you were up here with me

We finally in the past hour or so got some substantial rain, but nothing like the Memorial Day storm.
