Hey ladies!! So I'm planning a bachelorette party at the end of May around downtown Houston and I was wondering where is a good place to eat and drink really good cocktails especially if we want to sit awhile and drink!! TIA

@Mrs. Pickle: Was going to suggest the same thing! Love Anvil!
This place is also very cool -- it's in a historic building downtown and a bit larger than Anvil. It has good wine and cocktails (and not just whiskey cocktails, despite the name )

@Mrs. Pickle: @MrsSCB: you ladies are great! that looks amazing!!! Is there a wait to get in on Saturday nights usually?

@Jackiedavis87: There's no wait, but depending what time you get there, it might be hard to find seats. Public Services is a little larger, so if you really want to sit down, that might be a better bet.
A couple other places: this place is owned by the same people as Anvil http://www.thepastrywar.com
This place is kind of small, but I love their drinks. http://www.movingsidewalkbar.com
I've never had to wait to get into any of these, granted I'm usually out more like 10 p.m. rather than midnight Public Services, Moving Sidewalk and Pastry War are all walking distance from each other, and there are a bunch of other fun places in the same area if you want to hop around.
