We're not religious, but we will still celebrate a secular Easter. Our local park usually hosts an Easter Egg Hunt every year so we'll probably do that.
What about you?

On Good Friday we usually go to church. On Sunday, we go to church in the morning and then spend the rest of the day with family.
When I was a kid we did the Easter egg hunts and I plan on doing that again when our LO is old enough!

We're not religious either. We usually have dinner with my parents, but they'll be away, so we are going to brunch with my brother & his wife.

We're non-religious too, but we usually go to my in-laws for church and Easter lunch. This year I will either still be on bed rest or have two newborns, so we won't be doing anything Eastery!

Going to my SIL and BIL. They usually do a big Easter brunch. There will be lots of kids and an egg hunt.

That's a good question! I might invite some people over for dinner. It's just a normal day to us, usually - just a long weekend to enjoy.

Same...we're not religious but celebrate Easter. LO is too young for an easter egg hunt this year. We'll probably just go to brunch with my parents.

You are inspiring me to plan something! For some crazy reason people don't really celebrate Easter Sunday much here in Mexico. I guess they're exhausted from Holy Week?!?! Anyway it's always kind of a bummer because we go to church and... then what? Nothing special happens. This year I think I will make some kind of brunch food and do an egg hunt at home for my littles.

We will do local Easter Egg hunts leading up to Easter, and on the day of go to church and then head to in laws for lunch and then to my parents for dinner. We celebrate the religious holiday and try to focus on that.

Egg dying, Easter vigil and "potluck surprise" with our framily (friend family. - all of our families are long distance.)

My birthday is on Good Friday this year, and both of my BsIL and their wives and kids are coming down to stay with my ILs for the weekend. We're probably going bowling/paying CAH on my birthday, going to a party Saturday night, and will have a big lunch at my ILs on Sunday (always lamb).

Church with the family, and then the whole family (aunt, uncle, cousins, grandma) come over to my parent's for the afternoon. We have a Cornhole and Bocce Ball tournament each year, complete with trophies.

By moving back to the States! lol
But yeah, we'll spend what amounts to the whole day for us (flying back 6 hours) on a plane. In reality, we're landing early enough to have dinner with my family at my aunt's house.

Will be at my mom's. We always have an Easter egg/basket hunt (even though I'm the youngest at 27) and this year we will have a brand new baby to celebrate too! It will be the first time my brother will get to meet his new nephew!

We are secular as well... but dh needed a couple days off work so I chose the weekend (he works weekends) of april 19 because it is the opening of our farmer's market and there is a free concert for kids at the downtown performing arts center. Yea! I accidentally had him take off a holiday! On Sunday we might visit a farm with new baby animals!

It's LO's birthday weekend, so her party is the day before Easter. We may do one of the local park Easter egg hunts or go to the Children's Museum, they are doing something special for Easter, I think.

We usually celebrate the Triduum at our parish, but I think we'll do a morning Mass instead of the Vigil this year. We're planning to do Easter Brunch out just the three of us since it'll be our last big holiday as a family of three.

It is always a reason for our family to come together so everyone will meet at my gradma's house and then we have a brunch with way more food than necessary...

@rattles: we usually do this, too, but this year will be different! My doctor said he'd induce me during Holy Week if baby isn't here yet, so hopefully we'll be spending it with a bitty

My parents are visiting so they will come to church with us followed by brunch. I will probably make a big dinner that night!

@LovelyPlum: Eeek! What an exciting time for a little! If you're out of the hospital, it might be the last time in a while that your LO won't mind being at the Vigil!
I loved wearing DD through Mass when she was a newborn!

We are going to my parents for the weekend and hopefully leaving after lunchtime. Traffic on the PA Turnpike is always horrendous at Easter.

@rattles: we might! And they're only doing 4 readings at our Church, not 7, so it might be worth it
I'm so excited to have a brand new baby during the Easter season-all that new life! And he/she will get baptized on Pentecost, which I just think is the coolest thing.

We usually walk to church and have brunch with my parents and do an egg hunt, but this year Easter is on my MIL's birthday, so we might go down to their ranch and do church/brunch/egg hunt with them.

MIGHT go to mass on Good Friday with my family, we'll see how we feel and dinner with them on Sunday. We don't really do anything with his fam. I'll probably suggest we have supper with MIL on the Thurs night, but more so because we haven't for a while.
