It might be a one pot or bowl meal but we always try to have a protein of meat/seafood/fish, vegetable and almost always a starch.
ie tonight is chicken breast with swiss chard and possibly sweet potatoes.
If I'm doing noodle soup I usually use shrimp, noodles and add whatever veg I have on hand.
If we're doing soup it always has a form of protein + veggies. Soup is always accompanied by some kind of sandwich because we'll starve if we just eat soup! LOL
my body doesn't know when to stop once it starts on carbs, so like I tell people who eat them: "don't let me see it". If I see it: it's on!!
