I think a main difference between our generation and our parents' generation is less siblings = less cousins.
Dh is an only child and I have one younger brother who won't have kids for a while. Our LO has my cousins babies and dh's best friend's kids, but no cousins yet...

We're in the same situation- DH is an only child and I have a younger sister who won't have kids for awhile. Our LOs will have a lot of 3rd cousins though. My best friend is pregnant and her husband is DH's cousin, so I'm happy about that.

She has one now. But I have two siblings that are married and childless. Hopefully that will change!

She has two 1st cousins and 2 second cousins...yes, my SO is a great uncle at 33. LMBO

She will have five boy cousins. Hops' sisters are done having kids but my brother might have one more. So, she may have 6 total.

14 as of now. 9 boys and 5 girls, some of them step. Our bebe will probably only see 4 of the boys and 2 of the girls, though. The rest live in other parts of the country, and I rarely if ever see them.

Mine won't have any unless my husband's younger brother has children someday. (He's still an immature turd, at 21, so hopefully he won't reproduce for a looooong time!) I have two close female friends who are like sisters to me, though, so I plan on calling their children my kids' cousins.

Probably only one. DH's sister (his only sibling) has a daughter, but apparently it would be dangerous for them to have any more. One of my sisters can't have kids (post chemo) and they aren't to keen on adoption (although that would be wonderfuly exciting if they did adopt one day). My other sister is slightly mentally challenged and I don't think that she'd ever have kids (although you never know - she gets more mature all the time, so never say never). I have 17 cousins and we are all fairly close, so maybe our kids will have to just settle for lots of 2nd cousins.

LO has 0 cousins on my side. My sister and her husband do not want children. LO has 2 cousins + 1 more on the way from DH's side. She also has step cousins on DH's side but not sure how many.

It looks like there will be just two on my side as my brothers marriage has ended, but DH is from a family of six and there are eight LO's there so far, probably a few more to go from his younger sisters. The thing is, though, I wouldn't be close to any of my cousins, while my kids will see a lot of theirs.

DH has 4 siblings, but only one has kids right now. So LO will have one cousin to start with. The other siblings are in their late teens/early 20s.
I have one sibling who probably won't have any kids, so it's up to DH's side to provide all the cousins!
