How did you choose your newborn or baby photographer? Word of mouth? Local message board? Internet search?
We found our wedding photographer from a local board on the knot, but she is a few hours away and I liked her, but not so much that I don't think we could find someone closer. Trying to think ahead and budget but I don't know where to start.

We asked our wedding photographer for a recommendation. We went with the woman she recommended and couldn't be happier. She came to our house for the shoot and was wonderful with Baby A. The pictures are beautiful.

She attends the same church. She does mainly weddings, but she has a style I like so I just asked.

I searched on my own a bit, then asked Facebook. I got a ton of great recs and I had seen some of their pics already without knowing it. I also wanted to make sure it was a mid-priced option, where I get a cd of images, and someone who had a lot of props and experience w newborns. It's a really hard job, not for a first-timer.

We had a friend do ours, she's not local but was totally worth the wait! If any of you are in the champaign/Urbana area in Illinois def ask me about her lol!

I used someone that my friend used. I know that our wedding photographer does family/portraits as well but I really wanted someone who was a specialist of newborns and babies and had a nice selection of accessories to choose from.
I also searched online but I of the ones I loved they were all out of our price range.

We will probably use a friend who did our engagement pics and is now getting more into family/baby photos--great timing!

We got a rec from someone on here actually! Then I checked out her website and liked it

I googled my area + "newborn photography." Checked out their websites then emailed a couple for prices. The one I chose was the most reasonable photographer that would give a print release.

Googled it. Looked at web sites, blogs, and FB for their pictures. Emailed and got quotes, some took like three weeks to write me back so that out me off. Hopefully we made the right choice!
