With DS we choose Michael after DH's uncle who played a big role in getting DH and I together (and who died when I was 8 weeks pregnant).
With DD (due in Feb.) I'm torn between a family name - Maria or Irene, or a 'just like it' - Grace. Her first name will most likely be Emma.

We use family surnames (I voted other even though it's sort of family significance). Lo1's middle name is my middle/my mom's maiden name, and Lo2's will be my maiden/half of my last (I have a double last name).

DD2 has my mom's middle name. It was also my grandmother's middle name. They were both second born daughters.
DD3 shares her middle name with my dad, my grandfather, and great grandfather. We used the feminine version though.

DS1 - other significance. Middle name is after a singer that he always responded to in the womb (and still does 4 years later).
DS2 - Just liked it.
Both DS's middle names also begin with an E, which is the same as my middle initial.
DD1 to be - Family. My grandmothers middle name.

DS 1: Paternal maiden name of husband's family
DS 2: Male middle name frequently used in both the maternal and paternal sides of my family. DS 2's first name is my uncle's name and I really just love the name.

B's middle name is my grandfather's first name and the middle name of my husband, his dad, and my brother - it was kind of a gimme. W's middle name is actually the first name of our fertility doctor from B, so partly we just liked the name and partly I feel like he deserves all the credit for giving us a family (directly with B and indirectly with W) and I like that it's a bit of a tribute to him.

LO1 and LO2 have middle names from my dad and FIL. If LO3 is a girl, the middle name will be a variation of my sister's middle name. If it's a boy, we just chose one that we both agreed on.

Me and my husband talk about this, and for middle name we will use my last name.
I'm Chinese (my last name is in Mandarin Chinese).
My husband he from Sierra Leone, West Africa.
He really want a girl for our first baby, he wants a girl first and then a boy, lol
..........
And if we have a girl, I want to name her Sierra.
So it will be Sierra as her first name.
Middle name we will use my Chinese last name.
And last name ofcourse it my husband's last name. I do want my children carry their dad's surname.
