When DD took her first steps, I was excited, but sad that she was growing up so fast.
DS took his first few steps recently and I'm happy he's finally walking (13 months 18 days today), but wahhhhhhh my baby's growing up!!!

It was exciting and scary as a FTM. I LOVE how fun he is with walking, but with the future LOs I think I'll be more a fan of savoring every last bit of finite babydom as long as possible!

All the time. I look at my youngest and he'll be two in 1.5 months! What the?! I tried to hold him like a baby yesterday and he almost bit me at you know where! LOL! I was just telling him how I used to rock him to sleep and nurse him. Not doing that again! I don't want to be bitten!

Worried. I saw stitches and ER trips in our future, which never happened thankfully.

Really proud since it was relatively early, but kind of sad that he was losing more of his "babyness".

Very excited for DS1. I'm sure I'll cry when DS2 starts to walk. He is my baby!

So excited! She worked for a long time to get there and I loved seeing how proud she was of herself.

@chopsuey: Awww!!! He beat O! I don't know how I'll feel...maybe excited that I don't have to keep my floors impeccably clean when he stops crawling but sad that my baby is growing up so fast.

Excited. He took some steps at daycare, but took some coaxing at home. Once he started, there's no stopping him. Now, he's running at 17 months old. He's grown up so fast even though there are moments where it feels like it's been slow.

I know the feeling. I miss it when my kids were just crawling. Now they walk all over me at time! Literally!

I'm excited that she'll be able to keep up with her friends better and have more fun at the playground, etc. She's just starting to walk at 16 months, so I'm ready!

Excited! It happened right around her first birthday. Sometimes I look back at her little baby pictures and think "aw she will never be so little again" and I want to go back and savor it more but overall I love watching her grow and learn new things... I will be so excited for all the things we can do as a family when we one day have two elementary age children!

proud and excited! she was a late walker, 16 months or so. She took her first steps around 13 months and it took awhile for her to feel confident
