Seems like a lot of Bees have someone come clean their house! I'm curious how you ended up finding your cleaning person. Did you go through a few before settling on one you love or did you just pick one and stuck with them?

I asked a friend and she recommended a company she uses. I've been happy with them

I have tried a few companies in my area and have never found anyone good, so I keep giving up. Too much $$ for not-very-good cleaning.
If I could find a reliable person, not a service, who charged a reasonable price for what they do I would be on it in a second. Last last place I had come quoted me $160 for our 2 bedroom condo. And I was desperate so I paid it....and they sucked. They sent a 7 months pregnant lady to clean, accompanied by a thug looking guy who sat on my couch and did nothing. I felt *awful* about the woman cleaning. I'd wanted a cleaning service because I'd just had my LO (she was maybe 8 weeks old at the time) and I had the flu and we had out-of-town guests coming to stay and I just knew I wouldn't have time to clean and shop for groceries.
But I *still* would have rather cleaned it myself than had a heavily pregnant woman bending over and trying to scrub my kitchen floor on her knees.

I asked a co-worker. Not thrilled with them, so I got a name from neighbors that all use the same lady to try.

I got mine from a co-worker who got her recommendation from a friend. I've had her for I think 6 years. She was my present to myself when I paid off my student loans. She been with me in my single girl condo, our larger married condo and now are Single Family Home with raises of course as the place got bigger.

I have always asked neighbors for recommendations and so far (twice) it has worked out well.

@cheert16: Oooh, yeah, let me know! I don't know that we can actually afford to hire someone, but would be good to know of one just in case!
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: haha, that's awesome! I need that to happen for me.

@Adira: we really can't- but I gift it to myself every few months! I cant do every week, or even every month- but every few months seems doable!

@cheert16: I should do something like that too - our house definitely needs the help!

I have had the worst luck with groupon cleaners being flaky
Can you check Angie's List or Yelp?

I just used a nationwide ( I think) company in our area. I've been leary to have strangers in our home but after having our second child I just can't keep up. I didn't know anyone personally so I just went with an agency and a group of 4 people come. They have come twice and it has been life changing. No more stressing about a dirty house and my husband doesn't have to hear me nag! I convinced my husband by saying it's a quality of life issue and he won't have to hear me complain anymore:) thankfully we are in a financial position to have this luxury (that also took convincing my husband) but even he's impressed! You should go for it!
